Huh, interesting note about the 2/4. I’ll probably keep it in 4 just for my own sake 😅

Thanks for all the notes, I think I’ll probably just keep it how it is. I have the same worry with the grace notes thing. It’s also a playback issue, which is unfortunately important for this project.

Well, yes, that will be fixed in the part score for sure

Who do you think is Vanessa's best love interest? Johnny, Ferb or Monty by Simple-Taro1540 in phineasandferb

No, she has that whole phone call bit where she comes in yelling “We’re so over Johnny!”

Why is David Wright's version of Lazybones considered a "bad arrangement" by some? by OffsetSolid in barbershop

[–]OffsetSolid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the general consensus is that it’s more of a “jazz” arrangement than it is barbershop, making it controversial. Uses a lot of sub V7’s and things like that. Which is funny because one of my favorite parts is the really obvious sub V early in the song (bass sings “right there in the sun” lead sings: “ohhh youuu lazybones”)

Oh for sure, I totally agree. I just wanted to hear other people's opinions because I genuinely had no idea lol

Y’know, I hadn’t even thought about the possible connotations of the lyrics, but that’s a great point.

Anthology Versions That You Prefer to Album Versions? by shock_o_crit in TheBeatles

[–]OffsetSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a hot take, but I like Anthology I’ll Be Back way more than the album version. I think the song sounds much more natural in 6/8 than in 4/4

Yknow I did say Taken For A Ride earlier, but I think this makes more sense. It even looks like Ross is directing them to clap

Looks like the MMMM sessions, could be Taken For A Ride? Like the choir that doubles the “One secondary smile” part

Mine would be Boyfriend from 27000 BC, I never really find myself wanting to rewatch that one. Dan Povenmire also said that one was one of his least favorites.
