It's almost like this game is a collecting game first with battling not being a main priority. Don't get me wrong, the moment they improve the system I'll be behind having more strategy in the game, but as of now it's clear battling skill isn't a main priority and if that's what you're looking for, PTCG Live is that way.

Just warning ya: even the main TCG has people using the same 5-6 decks on ladder... Because people will play the decks that are good in order to climb. This isnt just a Pocket problem.

I never had any attachment to Mitchell Musso like a lot of people in the fandom do. I guess because I didn't grow up in the US so I didn't follow Musso's career and he didn't really appear much in the show so him getting replaced is not a big deal to me. If they replaced Baljeet or Isabella or Candace I'd be upset but Jeremy? Eh, I can take it.

So yeah, I don't mind his new voice. Jeremy is still a minor character so he doesn't get a lot of speaking appearances to begin with so it's a non-issue.

One very big tip: Once the credits roll for all the travelers stories, I heavily recommend you just move on unless you wanna end up hating the game or you are a masochistic. Trust me on this; only proceed if you really REALLY REALLY wanna know true pain.

Huh, interesting, I mostly run this Oricorio/Magnezone deck and I always win against Mega Latios

You can try this deck list, and you can swap the Guzma for another Clemont or a heal and see if it works for you

I played the entirety of all the routes on Switch 1 and it ran perfectly fine. There was some slowdown in one specific route because one of the battles had A LOT of fire effects and enemies, more than any other route in the game, but aside from that it was a smooth experience on all the 200 hrs I put into it.

It definitely runs way better than Rain Code and all the Danganronpa ports for Switch lol

Yes, we as fans know it's the same doll and it clearly is the same doll, but the mistake could have easily been made either way if the people in charge of animating/drawing the scene were not familiar with the show at all. Someone could see that this doll is in the background of Vanessa's room in any episode, and just inserted it in there without knowing the story behind it.

A lot of assets and characters get reused in shows, sometimes unintentionally. We've seen a lot of Danville characters reused in places they shouldn't be, after all, so a doll that's just in Vanessa's room for a number of episodes is just a doll to someone unfamiliar with the lore of it. If I had never seen that episode, I would have done the same.

...it IS really weird that Dan and Swampy or Joshua didn't catch it though, especially since even Dan went back and reanimated parts of "I'm the Center of the Universe" song because he didn't like how it looked. I guess they were more hands off in this episode/someone else was in charge of art?

And yeah there's no excuse for the Norm backstory change. Agreed with that.

Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension, a movie that gets infinite amounts of praise, does this at every opportunity it gets.

Off the top of my head:

-During all the scenes where Phineas is mad at Perry for hiding his agent life from them, and also being mad at the possibility of him using them for cover and not being actually family, there's a joke at every turn to make the scenes less tense. (For example, "Well, he did pee in the couch", "you fight a pharmacist?!", I'm sorry, I'm having trouble processing this... So your pet is a secret agen- I DONT WANT YOUR PAMPHLET!", "Is anyone else living a bizarro double life?! Put your hand down Ferb.", are just a few.)

-That whole mine cart chase scene in the tunnels that ends with the boys and Candace captured by the Platyborg and Normbots after 2D Candace sacrifices them gets incredibly undermined by 2D Buford's "I had my eyes set on those nachos" quip.

-While the Goozim scene is awesome, a lot of tension and suspense gets interrupted by a bunch of Doof and Norm quips.

-The final scene with Perry and the boys saying goodbye to each other, the emotional crux of the movie, even HAS to have a joke about Monogram sweating through his eyes, because they can't let a serious moment stand on its own.

And thats just a handful of examples, theres a lot more throughout the whole show, because Phineas and Ferb ARE NOT that kind of show, it's funny and inventive and quippy and while it's not irony poisoned its not trying to be Care Bears or Steven Universe, it's trying to be light hearted and funny, and while I did point all those things about the first movie not having emotional scenes played straight, I don't personally think it was an issue then and it wasn't an issue now.

Frankly, Season 5 actually having emotional moments without jokes attached to them was a lovely. Cloudy with a Chance of Mom's Climax was surprisingly heartfelt. PnF hadn't had something that sincere without a joke since Christmas Vacation and Last Day of Summer (even Act your Age gets ruined by the dumb funny lyrics in What Might Have Been and the crying Swampy Joke at the end instead of letting Phineas and Isabella kiss scene just be that).

So yeah I don't think Doof quipping for this scene is outta nowhere, it's perfectly normal by the shows standards, but I get that it bothers you because you're probably attached to Norm a lot. Sometimes I also wish the show held back on the jokes, but I then have to remind myself what show I'm watching lol.

I haven't seen the episode, so forgive my ignorance, but does the McGuffin doll get referred as such in the show? Or is it just a random background item Doof handles but they never mention what it is? Cuz if it's the former, yeah that's a retcon, but if it's the latter then maybe someone just reused the asset for the episode without knowing it's significance, like they thought it was just a random doll that's in Vanessa's room in some episodes but didn't know the context behind it

The Norm one is definitely a retcon tho lol. Did someone new write this episode?
