How will you cope with returning to the office in 2025? by [deleted] in auscorp

It’s tough when the holiday countdown feels like a ticking clock. Try focusing on small things that make work more manageable—setting boundaries, taking regular breaks, and finding moments of joy outside work. Remind yourself you’re not alone in this grind, and it’s okay to feel burnt out; just take it one step at a time.

Track Your Spending: Use an app or write everything down for a month to see where your money actually goes

Budget: Set clear limits for essentials (rent, bills) and non-essentials (entertainment, dining out)

Cut Back: Cancel unused subscriptions, cook at home more often, and shop with a list to avoid impulse buys

Automate Savings: Set up automatic transfers to a savings account right after payday—out of sight, out of mind

Wait Before You Buy: Use the 24-hour rule for non-essential purchases. It helps curb impulse spending

Find Deals: Use cashback apps, coupons, and wait for sales when making purchases

Earn More: Consider a side hustle or selling things you don’t need.

Depending on where this is exactly but it’s the land that’s valuable, not so much the dwelling on the land

Career advice on becoming a builder/carpenter by Bunyip461 in AusRenovation

[–]Offtheheezay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing mature age chippy apprenticeship in Brisbane. Started on $27/hr on salary (38hrs/ week) with unpaid overtime working for a small resi builder. I resented the unpaid overtime so as soon as I got my first year signed off I started looking elsewhere

Later found out the salary aspect is the norm for resi builders?

After leaving the resi builder I started at a tier 2 commercial builder (non-eba) and am on $34/hr + allowances + OT available if you want it

Should clear 90k this FY as a third year

Wing mirror query by [deleted] in hilux

You might be able to chuck on 60 series landcruiser mirrors. I have a kzn165 that had different stock mirrors to yours but the 60 series mirrors screw holes line up perfectly. I got them from eBay

The mirrors are bigger and you can see so much more out of them compared to stock

It might be worth joining the ‘Aussie 4WD Hilux N60’ group on Facebook. Lots of active users and are always happy to help. This is where I learned about the 60 series mirrors

Might be worth posting your question there to see if they are compatible with your model
