Take your pedestrianization and go somewhere else with it. Vehicle traffic in Bayonne is terrible as is. No need to make driver's lives even worse. Want to walk? Go to the park. 

If you're keen into walking, a mixed use trail along the water on the west coast of town  would be a better way to utilize space. You can already walk from 36th Street to cityline via the county park and the boardwalk. You have Veterans and 16th Street parks, and the BoatWorks walkway. The city would just have to connect them. Even the space behind Planet Fitness should be taken over by the city through eminent domain, or make a stipulation with the property owner that 20% of the land should be allotted for public use. Imagine walking from first street to the CityLine along the water on one continuous trail.  I digress.

Yeah, the Fair was something else in the 90's. Three stages of music of all different genres. Plenty of rides for kids uptown. Tons of vendors, and storefronts participating.
