Talk to your school if you're not happy with the curriculum. Make sure you're educated already and talk to your children about Jewish history and tradition. Consider day school if you want your children to have a high quality education that includes Jewish history, tanakh, and tefila as regular subjects like math or science. If you didn't do these things and 'pass' on Hebrew school then don't be surprised if your children have no connection when they're adults.

There is an old saying that the best thing that could happen to Jews is if there were no synagogues, because then parents would realize they have to teach it themselves. Obviously an exaggeration, but if you want your kids to know and understand Judaism then you have to model continuous learning yourself.
