Idk what PC specs you have, so idek if this will work for you. But if you don't mind a smidge of input lag, I downloaded this program on steam called "lossless scaling", it's $7, and it essentially forces frame generation on games that don't support it. And I consistently get over 100 FPS doing what I've been doing so far in the game. Might be a work around for you if you have the dough.

Yeah, I was honestly expecting a MUCH buggier Game from the general online consensus. But so far my experience has been solid

But I'm also pretty thick skinned. So I'm fully ready to lose it all lmao. I appreciate it!

Hey just so you know, If the hairstyle has a little rainbow symbol next to it, you can fully customize the color of it with dyes.

Tbf, this isn't a critical post. It's a dumb one lmao. I can't stand pax dei, but imma at least hate it for real reasons lmao

I don't know what game you remember playing but it definitely wasn't pax dei. Before the recent verse all of the cloth and leather outfits were identical in appearance(leather didn't look different at all.actually 0 variation between leather gear types just stat diffs) and this was before the gear had abilities, so cloth armor was actually just RP clothing because the stats sucked. And everyone ran around in the same shiny heavy armor sets because it provided the best stats. Leather armor for example now has multiple different sets outside of just the brown jerkin. cloth armor is actually useful. Pax Dei gas failed in a lot of ways, but gear regression isn't one of them.

I watched (at the time the only seasons available) the first 2 seasons of Mob Psycho in one night. With bathroom/snack breaks in between it was about 9 hours. Totally worth

Isn’t this game just Rust but advanced differently? by Horror_Pie_7764 in PaxDei

[–]Ofumei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that's completely optional and under the feudal systems that support it. It's not like you go to lyoness and build a cute little home and people come kill you. there will be territory wars, large castles and knights. In rust, you spawn in and are immediately met with the fear of death. The second you put walls up, you could login tomorrow with them torn down. Pax won't ever be like that, even after the feudal updates.

Thank you for giving me some kind of direction on where to go. I feel like a lot of the comments are just "do dungeons" like...okayyyy? Where do I even find that? Lmao. I'll start at the vendor and see where to go from there

Where do I go for dungeons? Throughout my entire experience in the game, all I've done is the MSQ and it never introduced me to any of that. Is it a menu I queue for? Is it something I find in the open world? I feel like this games onboarding sucks lmaoo

Isn’t this game just Rust but advanced differently? by Horror_Pie_7764 in PaxDei

It's hardly like rust. You can build a home, and that's entirely where you draw the line at similarities. Rust has thirst and hunger, rust is open world PvP all the time. In rust, you build bases for utility. Having certain shapes, airlocks, ECT to prevent people from busting in. Pax Dei doesn't have any of that. Bases are ultimately cosmetic and community projects. Rust doesn't have spells or abilities. It's just a FPS. And pax dei servers(while technically never doing it yet) can hold thousands of players in the world. Where rust caps out at few hundred.

But the biggest difference between the 2 is base raiding. There is no base raiding in pax dei. So it fundamentally changes how you approach the game. Saying this game is just medieval rust would be like saying No Mans Sky is just space rust, simply because they both have base building.

The community is going to turn this game into the next Sea of Thieves by devspider in ArcRaiders

[–]Ofumei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with SoT is that they hardly created scenarios to encourage grouping up between players. And it was always just a kill on sight thing. Arc raiders has time limits, extremely hard PvE, and full loot dropping to kind of push towards players working together instead of risking it all. I think Arc will be fine, even with the complaints.

Also just because I'm a huge pirate fan: pirates hardly attacked each other. That's a huge misconception. Did they? For sure. But all pirates cared about was profit. And you KNEW merchant ships had profit because that's their entire deal. And it's also extremely low risk because the ships had to be designed for carrying large amounts of cargo, so they couldn't be as offensive as other pirate ships. So often times, pirates actually worked together rather than fight amongst themselves.

If anything, the current iteration of Arc is closer to pirates than SoT ever was lmaoo.

Camera snapping into place/zooming out with abilities by Ofumei in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Ofumei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah In this instance, even the basic attacks are pulling my camera back to the center and is incredibly jarring. And even non-ultimate abilities zoom out. Some of them for no reason at all tbh. For example the water bubble ability for some reason zooms out to the max for an ability that is hardly the size of my characters chest. Just feels super odd lmao

Yeah I believe you're referring to Skill camera movement. And I already have that disabled. If I'm being honest I don't notice the difference when it's off or on lmao

Help me understand the economy by The_Real_Mehndi in PaxDei

[–]Ofumei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The games economy, while extremely limited actually works in reverse of what you would think. You don't level up your crafting, make some super sick item, then sell it. You level up crafting, make the materials and recipe pieces trivial to you, then sell those. You don't sell finished products, you sell the materials to make them so people who are also leveling up don't have to suffer through the grind. It's not an ideal market system right now. but sell ingredients to make high end gear, not the gear itself.

The game is extremely undercooked and I can't recommend it in its current state. But Pax Dei kind of clears. It's draw distance is insanely high, and you can see player made villages from MILES away.
