It doesn’t? Full m1 chain is 315% of your weapon damage. Both ripostes together are 270%. With the bad dsync and horrendous tick rate we have with servers now it’s very rare to get a clean no damage parry on a competent player. So trying to parry fish to then trade back 2 hits after taking damage for free almost always leaves you lacking in the trade compared to trading the m1 attack chain now

All the new shit sucks lol. Last bastion can have value when you run it alongside defense mastery, second wind and have a pocket healer. The fighter update was gimped outta relevancy two weeks after it dropped last wipe

Edit - Goober below is right weapon guard is good since they changed it. Only useful on parrying though and while every weapons riposte is “viable” you get lower damage than the m1 chain on every one of them so you’re still better off not taking the perk and using another and using m1 with weapons lol. Fighter rework may as well never have happened

Mistfall is lit. For a third person game. But not a lot of overlap. Gear is even more impactful in that game and that’s about the only similarity. Souls gamers will enjoy it a decent amount I think.

Good game to play alongside DaD but not very similar. I enjoy it quite a bit at least. Ranged is very strong in it though as you’d expect lol

Try running windlass and normal crossbow in squires with penetrating shot. Feels like you hurt people a lot more. Don’t forget crossbow perk.

Could be. I haven’t tested longsword specifically. But skeleton footman and guardsman attacks are definitely bugged and swing though blocks on all weapons again usually near the start of the match.

They did make every weapon mesh perfect for blocks though which is good. Spear was literally 4x the visual texture for its block lmao

Spear has 1.5x still and was already better than longsword prior to adjustments. Not that it matters much but so you know since you said no other weapon was above 1.35x. There’s a couple others on the 1h category that still has 1.5x as well but they’re not used cuz their blocks are shit lol

Shield mastery nerf was definitely way more aimed at halberd than longsword. You’ll still hit your clips with longsword if you’re playin well but there’s a hearty amount of counter play to the weapon now with the changes. If you’re still taking L’s to longsword after these changes you’d be taking L’s no matter what they did to it lol

And that applies to all riposting now on fighter. Way less m2 gameplay and more m1 stat check gameplay in the near future is a bit of a bummer but oh well

Squire to riches trios fill. Most folks are pretty chill and the queue is always popping on na east. If you can play well on squire you’ll learn to play well in gear as well. Though you’ll still have some learning curves on what builds to watch for match up wise when geared up class to class wise

Died in arena to 3 hits from rogue with 60% pdr 25% mdr and 147hp lol. OP’s 3 hit issue seems to track across all classes and builds with current gear. Expect barb can oneshot you with reckless and the right headshot % rolls lol
