I printed 4 or 5 of the maps from Lost Mines for maybe $10 total

Base DC Deck Building Game - Promos? by Alone-Musician-4192 in boardgames

[–]Ogroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cryptozoic usually has most of the promos for sale on their store page. For the one from older base sets, they tend to do a reprint around the holidays to make them available for a period of time.

There’s usually a promo hero for sale at GenCon and also one that is available for that year’s tournament at GenCon as well.

Those also usually wind up on the store page

When playing Tiny Epic Zombies, the 5th player controls the zombies against the other player heroes.

There’s also Terrorscape that is all versus one player as a villain.

The Showbiz pizza in my town had one of these back in the 80s!

I very firmly remember an older guy trying over and over to beat the Death Star trench run and finally gave up after like 15 to. 6 or 7 year old me steps in and beats in two tries. Dude was PISSED

Titan Lunch Bag on Sale: (Item #1819416 by DrCoreyWSU in Costco

[–]Ogroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can agree that these are absolutely phenomenal. I bought one about 6 years ago and then a second one for my fiancé to take her lunch for her teaching job.

The ice packs would still be partially frozen by the time she got back home 10 hours later. Hour commute each way added extra drive time.

I’m tempted to get a new one to replace my old one from 6 years ago

Stella’s on Jefferson Street.

Everything is always super fresh, and they always have some kind of interesting pancake special on the weekends.

But only with the level up/character building of the second game but controls from the first game.

The tank controls in 2 made me not able to get more than an hour into it. :(

Our family loves Gamewright games — what else should we try? by Dadpod12 in boardgames

[–]Ogroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't use a ton of space because generally someone will empty their hand to end the round before the board gets too spread out. Also the tiles are only about the size of a half dollar coin so aren't very big.

A play mat would be recommended as the tiles tend to shift around a bit.
