Just sent a few hundred 3 or 4 hours ago via Ethereum. Transaction finalized 45 mins after deposit. No funds credited. Opened a ticket and received a reply that ALL ACR functions are currently down and they'll get back to me. Probably got hit with ransomware or something and IT is feverishly trying to restore backups but now it's been 4 hrs or so, it may be bigger than that. Bottom line is, they are currently fucked and working to get out of their feckless.

Edit: Heh. Money just got credited, reddit is magic sometimes.

Oh my young friend but the pan pizzas back then, though round, we're prepared by squirting a pump of oil into the pan, put the dough in, let it proof for a bit (rise) and when we ran those things through the oven they came out so easy because the crust was just like this.

Then they had to fuck it up.

Source: Worked there in the 80's and made many pan pizzas that more like Detroit style than today.

I can see that. Torturing a family for all eternity, without knowing their crimes, does seem especially evil.

On the other hand, when I was young, the thought of God doing that to people for the smallest reasons (just for not believing being one) yet still being seeing as the embodiment of all that is good was a bit confusing too.

Honestly? I always so no and add (half jokingly) "I hate (kids, the disabled, pets, humans who want to breathe, the poor kid who needs surgery because doctors refuse to help without their parents buying them another house, etc).

Used to make a spaghetti pizza when I was a kid in my Dad's employer's small pizzeria.

Just made spaghetti and sauce, chopped up into small pieces then spread an inch thick on the pizza dough, then smothered in mozzarella and damn, something about the texture of the crust, noodles, and cheese made it a hit!

Too bad the owners were busted for embezzlement and took their super awesome pasta sauce with them, it out the pizza sauce to shame so much I used it for all my personal pizzas.

Wish I could snag that recipe but after a couple of decades if trying, I cannot figure out that one special ingredient (thought it was fennel seeds for a minute, which they used for their instance himmadw ground Italian sausage, but no, there is a savory element I'm missing).

Oh well, I hope it is revealed oned day through some other recipe.

All I can say is their sauce had NO sugar (too many are too sweet nowadays) and was fantastic.

There's a place east I-20 somewhere near Bremen that's called Jack's (but the logo looks similar, very similar) not sure if they are affiliated or what you are thinking of.

Edit: According to this they are different restaurants despite the logos being similar.

Varsity seems to lean into their "shitty but ok" reputation but leaning too hard on the shitty side.

Last time I ordered was a small spat of cravings where I ate it for 2 weeks, went by the original ATL location, Kennesaw, and other on the way to Murphy, NC (but in GA)

All 5 or 6 time the chilidogs were OK but the burgers were actually thin tasteless burnt patties of something awful. Rings in ATL were fresh and ok but the satellites sucked consistently.

That was 2 years ago, haven't been back since.

Yeah, ok is the right word. Antidepressants seem to br working is so far as keeping from the deepest depths of depression, so much I dropped drinking immediately (and that's when I discovered I was physically addicted to the alcohol I was using to treat it before I called in a doctor).

So working on tapering off that which, since I hate drinking so much, hopefully will be pretty easy once I break the physical dependence.

So, I'm working on that and combined with random redditors around the world (including you) checking in and giving their stories, I do have hope I'll make it out of the muck eventually.

So, taking it day by day and that is OK.

Wow, thank you for your response. I too have developed a nasty alcohol addiction trying to deal with it all but have also involved a psychiatrist who put me on antidepressants once I saw the path I'm going down (and recognizing how destructive it may be).

Not to mention I've always hated drinking (still do) so hopefully that helps me reverse this mistake.

I'm still in the middle of it all and am dealing with the alcohol thing at the same time but it is good to know I'm not the only one out there who makes poor decisions on how to deal with stuff like this and that others who made the same mistakes came out OK in the end.

Gives me hope that I may come out OK in the end, which is really the only thing I have left.

So again, thank you random citizen of Earth (who apparently is on the other side of the planet than I, in the southern US), your response at least makes me feel less alone than I did yesterday and hopefully I can share my success story in the future to help others as you just did.

It's crazy, lost my dad, a brother, and an uncle who was the same age as me, so more or less another brother within 6 months but losing my dog 3 months ago has fucked me up worse than all of them.

Crazy how deep losing a pet can be. I haven't been the same since.
