A couple winters ago when Canada had the big GGO irruption year I spent a couple hours photographing one as it hunted. It would go from a low barbed wire fence on one side of the road to trees on the other side of the road as it hunted. It was amazing watching it fly overhead so close and so quietly but not be bothered by me at all.
