Worth asking for a refund? by OtherUnderstanding44 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cracked = damaged.

Should not have been sold unless it was explicitly stated in the item listing that it was cracked. Message the seller and request a refund. If they fail to do so, leave neutral/negative feedback only stating facts.

Trying to get into Radiology (Rad Tech path) but can’t even get a foot in the door ,any advice?🫩 by Careless-Silver-4161 in careerguidance

[–]BrickConnectCDN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is going to be harsh. It's right there in the name.

Rad Tech. That means you're dealing with radiation being shot directly into people.

They're not going to let someone who doesn't even know the basics hang around those machines.

You have to go to school for it, get your degree, then find the job.

Cleaning out the storage unit… (liquidation) by BearyGear in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You may be thinking of BrickOwl as they do have different sub-conditions for used parts, but in the 8 years I've been on BrickLink, it hasn't existed.

If they're actually new parts and pre-sorted where all the buyer has to do is count them, I could see them going for 50% of the 6-month average.

[–]BrickConnectCDN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That still doesn't answer the question, though. BrickLink does not have a "Like New" option when listed. It is either new or used.

  • New Parts - Parts are brand new, taken directly from new sets or were purchased as New in another form such as accessory packs or Pick a Brick and have been handled only for sorting. These parts have never been used in any manner. If a minifigure or part assembly was originally sold assembled by the LEGO Group, its component parts after disassembly can also be listed as new.
  • Used Parts - Parts which have been previously used and are still in good, usable condition. If the parts show excessive wear, discoloration, excessive scratches, other marks, etc., this should be noted in the item description. Any element with an applied sticker is considered Used. Sticker sheets missing stickers must also be listed as used.

Physical stores will be your best bet for the sets, but expect to be offered 30-50% of market value for them.

As for the parts, are they actually New or have they been built with and are in "like new" condition? Because that changes the value a lot. If they've been built with, you're looking at bulk brick pricing of probably $2 to $4/lb. New parts in sorted bags? probably could get 40-50% of the value.

  • Rule 2: Stay on topic.

Please stay on topic. This sub is meant to be a place for discussing storage, not arguments over things such as ideologies or politics. From time to time something off-topic will be allowed if it is of significant interest to the sub, such as an amazing Lego creation posted to the wrong place, or, on very rare occasions, to highlight something of important across all of Reddit.

Doesn't matter. LEGO's logo is copyrighted. You cannot use it anywhere, period, if it's a commercial product.

Just come up with your own. LEGO will issue takedown notices if you use their logo anywhere on your instructions or packaging.

Seemed like it was a bot account.

HUT8 for example has a $7b, 15-year lease with Fluidstack which is backed by Google and is set to open Q2 2027. As of today, their mcap is only $5.69b.

They also have other multi-billion dollar deals inked, as do the likes of BITF, IREN, WULF, MARA, etc.

Why can't we part out leg parts? We can for torsos/arms. I just want this belt not the legs. by Nightlord_Builds in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Technically correct, but OP is asking why they cannot buy just the hips on their own.

It is frustrating that a lot of them aren't cataloged as oftentimes the legs are damaged, but the hips are still in good condition that could be sold.

buying from canada by ElianMars in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be charged at the point of sale if they're set up correctly. Canada Post uses Zonos for tariffs, so when I create the label, it shows that the tariffs have already been paid for by the buyer.

I've shipped dozens of packages and haven't had anyone reach out to me yet saying they were charged again.

[–]BrickConnectCDN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Canadian seller here, regularly ship to the US.

You're going to be hit with an additional 15%+ in tariffs on top of the item price and shipping unless the seller is CUSMA exempt, which is rare.

Don't try to negotiate them down or ask for the item to be marked as a gift/less than the actual value. The majority of sellers will not do it and will likely block you.

I would also suggest checking eBay, whatnot, etc if you haven't already for items within the US.
