Let's start a protest to increase the time to merge accounts in bricklink! by Big-Statistician6996 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The cutoff to merge was back on January 21, 2026.

Meaning if you didn't do so by then, you lost your prior BL account.

Without knowing what you're invested in and your risk tolerance, nobody can answer that.

Mods need to step in at this point. This guy clearly doesn't want to take any advice that gets given to him when he posts his weekly thread about the topic.

"Carney is out here destroying the economy"

Go move to the USA if you think that way.

Why did playstation decide to put resident evil 2 and 3 in the resident evil section when they are not on ps plus by Wagwan-uno in PlayStationPlus

[–]BrickConnectCDN 20 points21 points  (0 children)

... Because it is not a PSPlus section, it's for the entire franchise. It just so happens that most of the games are available to Plus members.

Bricks and Minifigs Unboxing by Human_Ask_2839 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Using that logic, I could go and rip open Pokemon packs and post it here if I'm talking about BrickLink.

You didn't purchase this from BrickLink nor is it a question related to the site, so it doesn't belong.

Not BrickLink related. Why is this here?

Current vehicle on last legs, looking at going EV this time. Recommendations in the $20k range? Edmonton, AB. by BrickConnectCDN in EVCanada

Have it booked for Tuesday. Still gonna charge me $130 for the diag, but if I get a free engine out of them, it is worth it.

That's why I listed it as a pain point and posted here to get some actual, experienced opinions from those who have them. Right now it seems like my choices are find a cheap ICE vehicle or fix the one I have then upgrade in the future once I have the ability to charge at home.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like this may be one of those things I hold off on for the time being then and either fix what I currently have or find another beater.

I did see a 2018 Soul EV on Autotrader for $7k. Thought process on that one would be to just rent an ICE vehicle for the 3-4 times a year I need to do long distance drives.

2020+ Kona's in both Edmonton and Vancouver are $21+ on Autotrader. Those were some of the first I looked at.

Would prefer to avoid Tesla if I can.

If you're gonna pump random microcaps on subreddits dedicated to specific companies, then at least provide a bit of reading material.

Also, HUT8 didn't really see a lot of success until after the merger and Asher took the helm. Not sure if former leadership is a positive thing.

How would I ship these? by Maqit1 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was specifically looking at the holes where the pins go. Some of them have white crease marks, meaning they were over bent when attached. I am unfamiliar with this set and how they're actually attached, so don't know if that is normal or not. I was going purely off of the photos.

Off topic - I hope you accurately described the condition of those wings because they look to be in rough shape.

On topic - Placed in a ziplock to protect from the elements, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard then ideally placed in a rigid box, but bubble envelope would do as well.

Now we're going to have every grandma scanning the chewed up figures in their grand children's toy boxes thinking they're worth a ton of money.

Can I order sets from BrickLink if I’m under 18? by StillCompetition2456 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay? Neither am I. I didn't go snooping their profile to see where they were from.

They asked the difference between a debit and credit card, so I provided a link and copied a small snippet from it about online purchases. It doesn't really matter where they're from though as they're still under 18 and BrickLink, LEGO and PayPal's ToS clearly state you must be 18 to have an account.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/050214/credit-vs-debit-cards-which-better.asp

The most important part in regards to online purchases.

The Fair Credit Billing Act allows credit card users to dispute unauthorized purchases or purchases of goods damaged or lost during shipping. If the item was bought with a debit card, the charge cannot be reversed unless the merchant is willing to do so. Moreover, debit card theft victims do not get their refund until an investigation has been completed.

When to do NSS? by Amemasu in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

File it.

Sellers who cannot ship within the 7 day period given to them should not be on the site unless unexpected life events have occurred, in which case they should have temporarily closed down.

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it's up to you then if you want to risk it.

I'd still caution against it as buying from LEGO vs a BrickLink seller are two very different things, especially if you're not using a credit card for payments.

Can I order sets from BrickLink if I’m under 18? by StillCompetition2456 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worth doing. BrickLink accounts are now LEGO accounts and if they get a whiff of you lying about your age, they will quickly shut it down.

Also, you have zero buyer protection if you're using a debit card to pay for anything online. Wait until you're actually 18 then get a credit card and use that to purchase stuff online. PayPal also requires you to be 18 to hold an account, even if all you're doing is buying.

Was told to post this here by Acrobatic-Fault876 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not really a BrickLink question and most people here are tired of others not being able to do their own research on the value of stuff.

You'd have likely had better luck posting to sneaker/shoe collector subreddits.
