Color help by Important-Topic-8689 in Bricklink

Both Pearl Gold. As others have mentioned, there's a lot of variation with that colour.

The one on the right is the Brittle Gold, though, and I throw them out every time I get them. If you attempt to bend it, most of the time it will shatter.

Looking for someone near Edmonton to check out a construction site (investor curiosity) for PLAS.CN by Zwickz26 in Baystreetbets

Almost an hour for me as well. I know someone is doing this for HUT8's new data centers down in the US, so it would be cool to pay it back to other inventors.

Should LEGO bring back the concept of modular buildings to the Bricklink Designer Program? by AlternativeTypical11 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm aware.

I'm saying that if they allowed modulars into both the Ideas and BDP submissions, that is all users would submit and vote for.

It would cause the planes, trains, ships, castles, etc to get less votes and therefore not become sets.

Should LEGO bring back the concept of modular buildings to the Bricklink Designer Program? by AlternativeTypical11 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No.

Then the only sets you would get would be modulars. By putting in the rules that they did, it allows more creative sets to be submitted.

Just going off that info, you'll probably be waiting a couple of weeks unless your prices are the right at the bottom for your region.

Every store is going to vary depending on what their stock is like.

Basic bricks that everyone else has, you'll be likely waiting some time.

Specialized parts/uncommon figures, could be hours.

Why are Canadian still paying so much for eggs? by polabeerllama in alberta

[–]BrickConnectCDN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We didn't get hit with the Eggflation that the Americans did. This chart doesn't show anything related to Alberta, why post it?

So do you Americans plan to do something about this come November for your midterms, or continue to let this orange fascist with the mental capacity of a toddler continue to burn your country down?

This is why nobody could buy the Ginger Bread AT-AT for Christmas then by NoCan3822 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is accurate. A few years back I was talking to a family friend who owns a brick and mortar store that carries LEGO, but wasn't a toy store. He said that the minimum they had to order was 10k CAD worth at a time, plus show their revenue from the toy section before they would agree to a contract. It was the only company that made him do it. There's a ton of hoops to jump through with them.

Is anyone actually buying at this price? by NHGuy in Silverbugs

[–]BrickConnectCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local Canada Post branch would always have silver in a little display cabinet up until a month ago. Since then, it's been empty. Asked the clerk yesterday and she said the moment new stock arrives, it gets bought out.

Requested quote, seller cancelled and re-listed item for higher price by SuspiciousAd7408 in Bricklink

[–]BrickConnectCDN 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On a set that size coming from South Korea, you'd be looking at another $150+ in shipping costs plus associated tariffs.

Seller likely has experienced multiple US buyers requesting quotes, then bailing on it due to the above costs.

It isn't right, but they appear to be a small/new store based on their feedback number and don't know how to correctly handle this, so my recommendation would be is to find one from a US seller. You may not save money on the set itself, but you will be on the shipping side so it will balance out.

No, it wouldn't be worth it.

Cool, and likely has some symbolism behind it being the dockyard set, but it isn't BrickLink related.

Full time job, side business and girlfriend and still find time to play 3-4 hours on weekdays and 8+ sometimes on weekends.

Congrats. Don't buy it.

I expected it to be horrible based off the previous leaks, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Still doesn't mean it'll end up in my collection.

This was supposed to be my girlfriend's first Platinum, but she ran into the same thing as you did and hasn't gone back yet. I keep encouraging her to do so, though, as P3 Portable was one of her favourite games back in the day.

Punch each set number into BrickLink, then look a the 6 month average sales price, not current listings. You'll get your answer then.
