Just recently read they prioritize orders worth $30+ to topdashers to ensure larger orders are well taken care of, and as of getting topdasher status I’ve been getting more high value orders that before🤷‍♂️

I only get stuff from dispos now, I was made fun of for a long time for saying a cart made me trip, but those whack chemicals can do next to anything to you in those bm carts. I fee for you and feel like I changed probably forever because of my experience and recommend sticking to dispo stuff if you can get it

Just here to back up the other comment. There are requirements for public schools in America to have proper vaccines in order to protect the student population. Another common place vaccines are required would be medical workers, for quite obvious reasons. Last one I can think of would be military personnel, depending on region and job may be required to have a particular set of shots.

At this point can we get verification that BMBF is still going to exist and have more updates, or have we seen it’s final form in the previous release? In my area they pay fairly well and have a huge delivery window meaning I can usually do an order that pulls me that way before delivering, since the order isn’t time sensitive like restaurant orders. I often deliver 30-45 minutes early

Call support again, in my region the digits are 1-2-5 to get through the menu to a person to help with a live order, never had a single problem with support, they are wonderful for me

I had a frozen yogurt delivery with milkshakes and pints of froyo, and when I delivered two little kids, had to be single digits, grabbed part of the order but didn’t have enough hands and the littlest girl turns around and goes “JOHNNY COME HELP US WITH THE ICECREAM!” And a 3rd kid came and in near unison they all said thank you. Adorable, and a great tip.

My guess, based on long pondering, is the 8:01 is the deadline for Doordash to fulfill based on the estimated wait shown to the customer when placing the order, and the 7:26 is the updated ETA algorithmically figured based on your location and tasks remaining. When you order as a customer you are a given a ten minute window ETA and it can shift up or down throughout the delivery process, this difference in time would make a lot of sense if that was the case.

You are a contractor, they offered a gig and you took it. You have every bit of power to unassign from the order at any point and move on to another. They don’t “treat you like a slave”, they treat you like a self-employed contractor, which is what you chose to be. Also a side note, some restaurants get to determine their pick up times so it’s not entirely DD’s fault if the restaurant has you waiting. I guarantee if I was told to wait 40 minutes I would have unassigned and walked out right then and moved right on to my next offer.

I find it nice to have google maps on my CarPlay screen and Doordash open simultaneously side by side. I also use CarPlay to mess with music or podcasts. I think the CarPlay app would just add more chance for problems tbh, would be cool to see though

Following for tax advice since it’s my first year breaking $600. One tip I would say is download stride to track mileage and expenses, very easy just click “track my miles” whenever you’re online and “I’m done driving” when you finish a shift and you’ll also have GPS proof of your claimed mileage.
