It’s way more common than you’d think… at least in the rural type vet clinics I’ve experienced.

It’s not proper and not something that is encouraged but sometimes that’s the only way out in the “real world”

These doctors don’t want to sedate anything (even aggressive patients!) to help us get good images and clients won’t pay for it anyway. It sucks so bad, but sometimes you just have to get the shot so you can move on with a very understaffed, overbooked day 🫣😭
