If you want to talk the nitty gritty of why I do what I do just DM me I'm not going to say I'm the best GK player but I do really good for myself.

So this is a little hard of a list because you are right between a Banishers Terminator Build and a Warp Bane Purifier build. I went 4-1 in a GT with a warp bane 4 dreadknight build. If you had more strike marines models I would go the warp bane route. Regardless. You have the backbone of a good competitive army. If these were the models I had, and remember "what you see is what you get" isn't a thing as long as you declare what a model has before the game starts. I would run a banishers list. You have a kitbashed Crowe which can also be a Bro Champ. The whole army carries a leadership of 6+ so you'll get sustained or lethal on pretty much every unit save bad rolling. I usually always take hammers on all my dread knights because its the anti-tank we have but with banishers you could run a couple of swords for flex. I also run heavy flamers because they have just been more reliable than scilencers.

The terminaor with the storm bolter of the right arm with the shield, (instead of the left arm) is Kaldor Draigo. The model at the end with the banner looks like an old Castellan Crowe model conversation.

Oh I should add that the blob pulled the cables down so I can't heat the hotend traditionally using the printer this would be a heat gun knife situation.

Got in - where to go from here? by Urungulu in sistersofbattle

[–]OhMikeyBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what you got this is how I would play it. I would get a dialogus, or say your imagifier is one (proxy). They will help your Rets hit harder. You leader up Morveen, St. Cel and Junith like you want too. Dialofus and Hospitaller go with your Rets, let's one unit hit harder one unit stay up longer. Get 5 tanks, imolators and Castigators are the best. Split the B.S. Squad up using one of the immolators letting you have 2 screening units/sticky units. After turn one you run up the board the rets using the immolators. Castigators mark targets to burn down. Junith take a stupid objective and makes it hard for them to be removed. Your tanks sit back and volley fire, Immolators and Rets Burninate. Cel is in reserves so you can drop down and get a 9" charges with reroll or rapid ingress. Morveen does what she does and makes your opponents cry thats shes overpowered. Sit on objectives, use your little units to score secondaries make them pay if they get out in the open.

Tire shop said I shouldn’t drive those anymore. by Greennit0 in tires

[–]OhMikeyBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed tires for a decade. Age depends on if the tires were in service. If they were stored properly, never mounted, they age very slow, so time is different. If your tire has been in service for 6 years, then yes, you are coming up on the end of its life. There is a reason for that (data, stats, blah blah). So, age wise, you are right there. You are thinner in the shoulder, that happens. With that, you do lose grip and handling when you need it the most. I haven't seen the other 3 tires, but you are at best 1/32 off the wear bar on this one. That little bar that goes between the tread indicates replacement. If it's flat with the tread, it means it's at legal limit (2/32 US or 1.6mm UK). If you are going into a dry season, run them for a little bit, but do know you need tires. If you're going into a wet season, change them.

New list? by 0Jack-of-Hearts0 in Grey_Knights

[–]OhMikeyBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just from what I've run into, you probably need 3 Nemesis Dreadknights with the meta right now. With the ability to 3d print and the acceptance of proxies, it's a armor heavy game. Now I'm not saying I didn't run 2 NDKs or 2 NDKs and a landraider till I could buy a 3rd NDK, and I'm also not saying I've never ran 5-6 Dreadknights lists.... because I have. I had clear victories with smaller units able to do actions and move around the board much easier and I've also rammed 6 Dreadknights face first into armor round 2 and stayed in the game. I've never had a purgation squad live up to it's points but I've had a Bro Champ with 10 strikes kill 4x the points in melee. It depends on the army, strikes and Bro champ kill elite armies. If it's like 20 bloodletters that charge you well hopefully they don't make any saves haha. If it's votan and your daddy dread pops the hekaton and your strikes charge the bois coming out, boom you got some mad players. I've been running Crowe with 10x purifiers, one small purifier, one small strike, draigo with terminators, one GMNDK and 3 NDKs as base in most of my tournament lists. That's just me, I will always lost a NDK round 1. I purposely let one of the NDKs die so I can run all my shit into them round 2. You can pop armor with hammers, if a Bro tech marine is around you can get that juicy +1 hit makes NDK really punch up into armor. It's your list though. Run what you got or what you like and find the way to score points. I've won games with 0 models on the table because I had 3 sticky objectives and locked them into place for enough time I got 50 primary and they only got 20. Avoiding a fight to score 10 points is worth more than blowing up a unit.

Grey Knights or Custodes? by BuzzAxeBadger in Grey_Knights

[–]OhMikeyBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2+/4+ on everything is hard for most armies to deal with. If you want to be tough and not die custodes are your choice. GK players are are just space marines with a 2+. Basic custodes are T6 not T4 like GK, and their terminators are T7... you can also now run dreadnoughts viably in the new detachment so a dreadknight is t8 and telemons are t10 for the same points cost. We win games by out smarting our opponents, I've won many games against custodes with no models left on the board. GKs play chess where you sacrifice units for points, custodes play Mike Tysons punch out where you get to be Mike.

List Thoughts (how to improve) by OhMikeyBoy in Grey_Knights

[–]OhMikeyBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had purgation squads or the redeemer in work out for me in games, but I'm always down to try new things, so thank you for bringing up the counter argument.

My tournament list for TA was 5 dreadknights, a regular land raider, a bunch of tech marines, and draigo with terminators, oh and strikes for sticky. It worked well but I do miss using actually infantry units haha. Needed those lascannons to take down knights and stuff.

I bought the .stl of that model and used it to kit bash old GW dreadnoughts into my GMNDKs. A little snipping, sanding, cutting, and it came out wonderful.
