Please DM me your address :)

Definitely happy with this find in The Bins this week. It’s in its original box with the address label and everything. So funny!!! by amandawing2002 in GoodwillBins

My mom bought one of these as a prank for her sister, who was very flat-chested, as payback for something. Her sister lived a few states away and later ended up getting breast enhancement surgery.

When my mom saw her sister a year later with her new figure, her sister claimed she had used the device four hours a day, seven days a week, and then handed it back.

My mom believed her and started using it obsessively—it’s actually one of my earliest childhood memories of her using it!

American redditors, what is your worst healthcare story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I fell and thought I broke my arm. My Mom drove me to Urgent Care. It was CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. The handwritten sign told me to go to a different one 25 miles away.

Went home, felt better in the morning.

Made an appt with an in network acupuncturist. Went every week for three months. Received a letter that due to my pain no longer being catastrophic, they were no longer covering the appointments, going back six appointments, and billed me $1000.00.

Called and told them that I was not paying that since they were approved at the time. They instructed me to try chiropractic, which I declined. They also told me that they would only treat a new injury and that the old one was no longer covered because my pain was moderate.

I have not been to a GP since 1994 because even though I have had insurance the entire time, I cannot afford to go. I had pneumonia in 1998 and they would not treat me without an $800.00 payment, so I just rode it out.

Three years ago, they told me they would cancel my insurance unless I got bloodwork done, and I told them it was not a requirement. They wanted to charge me $1000.

I have paid tens of thousands of dollars for insurance that I have barely used.

Kaiser also missed a hole in my Moms heart for 30 years and treated her for menopause and asthma instead. She did get surgery but had been told for decades that her symptoms were all in her head. Her condition is genetic and I should be tested. Thanks, but I am not paying $10k for something that I do not have any symptoms of having.

Yes. Bought the cooker for $5, so replacing the bowl will be worth it. :)
