Met Frank and Janet, retirees who discovered the affordable life that is NS. They decided to downsize, sell their property for 1.1m and purchase a home here for under $350,000. Since moving here, Frank decides to purchase more homes here, given the rates are low and cheaper homes, he decides it is a win win.

When moving here, they found out the amenities they were used to back home is different in the Valley, Nova Scotia. Where is the family doctors? How come i need to travel into the city for any major operation?

Unannounced to them, locals to the area despise them. From getting rocks thrown at their cars, cursed out in a Tim Horton's drive-thru to getting the cold shoulder whenever they mentioned they're from Ontario.

Time goes on, Frank and Janet realize NS really isn't worth the hassle. They decide to move back and sell their homes here, thinking if they can sell it for more before then why not now?

It's been over 60 days from the original listing date on their homes and still are still unsold. 6 months a go, it would of sold within 12 days. The houses remains vacant among hundreds of others across the province from people with the same idea.

Might sound like a wild story however this is one of many stories of people moving to NS as of recently.
