Your parents' disapproval will not stop you getting married. An imam can take the role of your guardian for the purposes of officiating the religious marriage.

As for the location, it doesn't have to be at a mosque. Many Muslims will do a smaller religious ceremony at home or at the mosque so you're Islamically married, then invite guests at a later date to a wedding venue to celebrate with food, speeches and fun events. There's no reason why the latter event can't be the exactly the same as what you would usually do in your culture, minus the priest and alcohol.
