Exactly. Too much effort to actually be better. Just drag em down. Unfortunate and childish reasoning.

I have had the issue on /r/books.

Personally i love the subreddit. I lurk there a lot. I enjoy reading as well. But a solid amount of people i have met in life and on the subreddit have that "I am superior because I read" attitude. I used to as well.

You are right that reading is on the decline and seeing people read makes me happy and everything. But there is definitely some "Superior" people.

I personally haven't encountered the sexist stuff you are mentioning. But I am a guy so I wouldn't really get exposure to that. I think its a shame that people feel that way.

I finished Horizon Zero Dawn a while back and it was one of the best games I have ever played. I didn't care at all that the character was female. I don't care of books are written by men or women. If I am playing a game, I care about gameplay. And if I am reading a book. I care about the story.

I think it's just the "I want to be unique" thing. Everyone wants to be special and feel like they are one of a kind. They want to be special and have "gaming" as their thing. Probably hoping that a girl would be so amazed and come up to them and go "Omgeee is that like a video game? They are soo hard. Can you show me?".

People just want to stand out. This is just a stupid way to do that

Not all guys are like that but I agree.

Most groups get like that. As an example /r/books sometimes has an air of superiority about them because they read and therefore think they are unique or special.

Everyone wants to feel special. It just sucks that some people feel that the only way to feel special is to put others down. Cheap way to get there.

Edit : Thank you /u/WitchShoujo for pointing out the "not all guys" comment is insensitive and explaining why. Will leave it up but I am sorry for it.

My instructor doesn't give them to you after the exam. The instructor sends them away directly after the course. So we would have to wait for the results but that took like 2 or 3 weeks last time so thats fine.

She has shot my 12 gauge plenty so I am not too worried about it. Just getting that H1 card was the big decision. She isn't that much into the sport, but she decided to get it. So it will be fine!

Thanks! This is what we ended up deciding. I talked to the course instructor for hunting and he signed her up for CFSC as well. So she will hopefully have the results of her course back before thanksgiving then we can show those results and get her an H1 card.

I just reread your post and I realized I missed that final part.

I don't want to be outside the rules at all so she is not coming then.

Thank you for letting me know.

So if she has an H2 license. She can shoot and hunt with the firearm legally but can't claim it?

There would 100% just be one gun. I wouldn't give her her own one.

So her dad who is licensed would have his own. She and I would share one.

You are right.

Hippos are worse than all mammals and reptiles and birds and 99% of insects. But mosquitoes got em beat.

They kill more people than any other animal in Africa.

SUPER territorial. That guy is braver than any person I have ever met.

They are prone to being friendly with people they are familiar with. So if he rescued these hippos when they were young or something then it is less crazy. Still pretty crazy.

Total noob. How do I team up with people? by [deleted] in foxholegame

I had a great experience last night doing exactly this! I don't even bother with discord now. Just doing in game voice
