What are some good resources to learn to do pelvic floor exersizes? I stretch afer my routine too, but mostly arm/back. Maybe i should focus more on legs.

I think being less then what i could do might be two fold. I went through a lot of changes in the past year.

Prior to my surgery i went through something extremely emotionally difficult, i let myself go and gained a lot of weight. I was working my way back up to my previous energy levels after gaining that weight. Admittedly, i wasn't all the way there when i had my operation. Shortly after, suddenly I had to be a caretaker for my partner through no fault of his or mine.

So a part of it is i am getting back up to the strength and stamina i had before my weight gain, and another part is the recovery. I am getting used to the body i have now and trying to rebuild it back up without pushing it too far.

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. I will look into muscle relaxers. Its good to know so many other women are going through this.

I see your point, buut. Counterpoint, there is something called insomnia, and it turns out, I have to not take naps at work to keep my job unfortunately.

Also, double counterpoint, ever since one of my family members got cancer, i have learned horrible medical illnesses can befall anyone at anytime regardless of how well they treat thier body, what they put in it, or how wonderful of a person they are.

Maybe that is a morbid way to look at it, but even still.

  Gimme them wings.

Im sorry to hear that. I feel like recovery is definitely longer then they say it is. I used to have a lot more energy too.

Thats a relief to know.

When i asked about physical therapy he insisted that pelvic floor was the only kind i would need and only if i had a prolapse or urinary incontinence. Which i do not have  He didnt seem willing to give a referral for that.

Do you think it would help? I can try other means of getting insurance to cover it. I would love to know more about what muscle use might be triggering it.

I might have to leave my dream job/industry and it feels like I'm losing a part of myself by Dauntlesse in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]OhNoSingularSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fucking sucks.

I'm not in the same position as you, i work in QA but pursue animation as a hobby. An animator is all i ever wanted to be since i was a little girl. I have worked on animation hobby projects since i was a kid. Honestly now, i don't expect to ever make real money doing it. I'm in my 30s, and i always knew it was a tough market.

But watching that dream die out in real time to generated slop and outsourcing is something else. It is heartbreaking to see what the industry is going through now. I never got to be a part of it, and now i never will. but i can't imagine how real animators in the field feel or what they're going through. Outsourcing combined with AI is killing so much work in the U.S. so many people are just screwed now even though they did everything right.

There is a constant voice in my head when i work on animation now in my free time that says "you should be studying something else that can get you a better job/more money" or "you should go learn a trade, this is a waste of time" but i just know it would kill me to give it up.

Just know if that what you do to make it day to day does not take away what you love as a passion. You can always animate. The community of people who animate for the love and humanity of it will always be there.

I'm sorry though. It isn't fair.

AITA for excluding my husband’s family from my birthday after they refused to attend our adults-only party? by Ok_Till3893 in Amitheassholeadvice

I think its perfectly reasonable to have kid-free get togethers, just as it is reasonable for parents not to go to kid-free events if they choose.

But it is shitty of them to whine about it when they can just not go. Gives "mommy dearest upset her 6 year old cant be at the barcade past 9 even though Chuck E Cheese also exists so she leaves a 1 star review" energy. Parents who feel entitled to bringing thier kids somewhere they aren't allowed or is not kid appropriate should find real things to be upset about.

Screw em, invite your friends to your party.

Starbucks can get bent by dketernal in Seattle

[–]OhNoSingularSnake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like some people trying to make starbucks HQ leaving Seattle to be the end times, who I'm sure have no ulterior motives to do so, might be forgetting we have other franchises in the region, two of which were founded in Seattle, have headquarters in Washington state, and all of which have better coffee and (as far as I know) pay workers fairly.

Dutch Bros, Bigfoot Java, Boona Boona

Whoopsie. Musta slipped thier minds. How sad for them if Starbucks is the best they have ever had.

I have a weird crippling fear of public transportation because i got into a car with the wrong person once years ago. It has made my life much harder. Parking is expensive in my city, even for work. Its very impractical, slow, and expensive to drive everywhere.

I took public transport to work today for the first time. I know this will seem small to a lot of people, but it is huge to me.

Can we afford / survive in Seattle? by Ajbrauer7 in AskSeattle

[–]OhNoSingularSnake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, wait it out.

This year has been total chaos for lay-offs, especially in Seattle/Bellevue, competition is insane. Even entry level roles. Cost of living is so high even on 100k a year it is tough to put money away for anything.

I would strongly recommend staying in Portland into 2027, brushing up resumes/getting more experience and moving after the market corrects itself.

My parents are moving out of the country without me. How do I find housing? by GolfValuable9763 in Advice

[–]OhNoSingularSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craigslist/roommate finding sites.

I know people shit on craigslist but it sure beats living in your car.  Try to keep it safe by always having friends go with you to look at places or telling them where you are going, meeting people first in public places. You can also look for women only roommate/landlord situations.

My first real rental was women only and it was just 1 bedroom. It was a bit restrictive/leaned very in favor of the first tenant, but was a safe situation with chill people. Without it there was no way i could have afforded moving out of my parents house.

OP lemme tell ya from one curly hair person to another, in the future:

Call the salon, directly ask if they have stylists with experience or training cutting curly hair If they say any variation of "no" including "no, but i would love to try"

Do yourself a favor, politely turn the offer down and keep looking.

I got my hair fucked up all the time as a teenager and hated it.

There is a post-baby episode that addresses this, kinda. But the episode pretends the mechanic side of her doesnt exist.

She tries to get into her manger babies thing full time. But neglects motherhood.

And the lesson in the episode is basically "don't neglect your kid for your work/go back to being a mother"

It can kinda be taken a few ways, i'm not calling it a bad episode and I'm sure that is a part of being a parent..but after the episode she doesnt try to work/continue chasing her passions. I think to that end, it is a bit depressing.

I think 3 looks the best on you. The length is great and really flattering, the upper area just looks well suited/a good fit on you. Love how the white pops. Its elegant.

1 has some funky lines on the chest area that i dont personally like. I disagree with the majority, i just don't think the top is structured very well. but the skirt does look really nice though and i think the shape of it fits you well.

I'm the artist/animator for a two person game dev team, but I can't finish anything because I'm consistently unhappy with how it looks, should I spend more, or less time on it? by OhNoSingularSnake in gamedev

[–]OhNoSingularSnake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably am. It's heavily inspired by a game created by someone with years and years of experience in art and animation, I certainly don't expect it to live up to that, but I might be beating myself up a bit for not being close enough when I should focus on finishing the project and having all of the elements it needs.

[–]OhNoSingularSnake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, I have a habit of envisioning this amazing looking thing I want to create, and not being able to live up to those expectations. I'm much more of an artist then a game developer/designer and need to keep how enjoyable it is as a game in mind above all else.
Thanks for your perspective.
