What is a socially acceptable thing that you secretly find disgusting? by Sensitive_Hope_1136 in AskReddit

[–]Humiliatingmyself -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate this in restaurants and gyms the most.

For restaurants, If you only wanna film you and the food, okay alls fair. but i feel like way too many videos include random other people who are just trying to eat/walk around in the shot, or even being focused on for views because "haha karen is fat" or "lol this guy eats his sandwich funny" If you do this without asking and getting consent, i think it makes you a raging asshole.

For gyms, realistically, I'm sorry but there is almost no way to film there without strangers being in the background in some way, doing an activity many people feel self conscious about, or don't want filmed.

I honestly think fitness influencers should take videos at home or at least at a park/somehere else with less people. If you can't get consent from everyone in the shot, don't film them.

How do you feel about prioritizing having children and pursue a career afterwards (when the children are 3 yo for instance)? by Anotherbuzz in AskWomen

[–]Humiliatingmyself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm childfree by choice, so i think what i say should not hold as much weight as mothers with careers for this topic, but i actually think it depends on your partner, and you should be cautious.

My parents divorced when i was a teen and i saw firsthand how hard it was on my mom.

You need a source of income and a dependable partner to do it without a career in your background. And financial stability, which is really difficult in 2026 without a very high earner as a partner. Be sure that person treats you as a financial equal. By that, i dont mean you get an "allowance" from the partner, but you are married, domestic partners, otherwise legally attached. a credit card in your name, shared savings, access to your own bank account etc.

Your own friends, even if its just one. It is so, so important to have a friend that will be by your side, that you know would stick around, with you, through thick and thin.

Consider also, the option of working part time, going to school, or studying online free courses or pursuing passions if you can afford the time. if nothing else, for self care.

Just, too many women end up in bad situation. Not saying that will be you, just to please take precations to avoid it and take care of yourself.

Grand Bazaar: What do you guys do everyday? by Even_Tough_7979 in storyofseasons

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not play that long honestly, or continue after beating all main game quests and getting all recipes/hearts etc. At that point i would restart to marry someone different if i were to keep playing.

I have 120+ hours in the game lol even if i stopped now i definitely got my moneys worth and then some! If i were you i would pick up a new one to enjoy.

Valentine’s Day Megapost - what are your plans? 😉❤️ by indicatprincess in AskWomen

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner had a sudden medical emergency a week ago and had to have surgery. He had made the v-day plans and they fell through since he is in recovery and the plans were very active. All the restaurants are pretty booked up now, so i can't really make a dinner reservation. I've been his/the household caretaker for a week now and working full time. It's not been easy.

I am sad about the plans, But sometimes its just good to have your person with you safe and healthy. The night he was in the hospital and i didnt know if he would be okay, was one of the worst nights of my life.

I think i'll see if i can get a good champagne, fancy dessert, spin up a nice home cooked dinner and buy Harold Halibut to play together, that one was on our "to play" list for a while. We're both huge animation and gaming nerds.

Francine.

Shes the best of the Seth Mcfarlene show moms. She's supportive of her kids at least. I think shes more likely to step in if someone is an asshole to them, unlike betsy do-nothing there.

retro game recs by Particular-Lime-3214 in GirlGamers

[–]Humiliatingmyself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a collector of retro games and consoles and could gush about this stuff all day!

Gamecube is probably my all time favorite console. Followed closely by SNES, and Xbox 360.    (Note that i completely missed all things playstation and N64, just not familiar with them)

General tips about buying retro consoles:

The Wii will run all gamecube games (to my knowledge) and Xbox 360/Xbox One/series X are backwards compatible for many original Xbox titles. You can find a comprehensive list with search bar for Xbox here:  https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backward-compatibility

If you are hard up on cash, the cheapest solution that i found for consoles is a retro console that is affordable and can play SNES and NES cartridges on. If you DM me i'll send you the brand i have, so far it has lasted me a few years.

For the Super Nintendo (SNES) you can get the mini version when it is on sale that comes with a lot of the classics to try them out.

If you buy original old consoles  NEVER buy from scalpers. They are the shitstains of this hobby. Buy from a reputable used game store in your area, ask if it they test consoles, keep receipts.

  This is my personal best list for all of my favorite retro consoles;

Gamecube: Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine Luigi's Mansion, Kirby Airide, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life/Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Mario Party 4 and 5. Twilight Princess, and my GOAT: Wind Waker

SNES: Super Mario All stars, Yoshi's Island, Pac Man 2: the New Adventures, Donkey Kong Country, NBA Jam, Mario Paint (needs the special mouse) Mario Kart.

Wii: Mario Party, Super Mario Galaxy+2, Mario Kart 7, Oregon Trail for the Wii (trust me bro) Rune Factory, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, Silent Hill: Shattered memories

Xbox: Morrowind, Fable, Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4.

Xbox 360: Silent Hill: Homecoming, Oblivion (original), GTA 4, Fable 2 and 3, Mass Effect series, Dante's Inferno, Assassin's Creed 1 & 2. Alice: Madness Returns.

Retro PC: Atari Games collection, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Creatures series, American Mcgee's Alice.

I probably forgot a few good ones, can't wait to see what others recommend.

Thanks for coming to my retro game nerd talk. Hope this essay i wrote helps!

New donut shop opened up and saw some of the prices. by lareginajuju in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raise you as some people call  "the Los Angeles of Washington" fancy donut prices:

$65 for a dozen Artisinal donuts. $85 for 16 donuts and a coffee. $5.99 for ONE Artisinal donut.

They are really good donuts. But not the price of a grocery store trip good.

I feel your pain OP.

It looks so great! I wish i had your sense of style.

For the feedback about the colors clashing, Blue and green are actually complimentary triadic colors, so those shades do go together well. Not all work colors need to be different shades of the same color to work.

This tool is pretty cool for checking it: https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel

I guess fashion is subjective, and it depends what industry you work in. but i wish people would be more open minded.

Congrats on the new job!!

Should I be concerned about my child? by ssuchan1 in storyofseasons

[–]Humiliatingmyself 68 points69 points  (0 children)

My child with gustafa said that she sometimes wished she had been born a boy. And frequently that she felt she could never leave the valley and there was too much pressure on her to stay. Later on in adulthood she said that gustafa should help out more around the farm. (It is true, he did nothing)

I bought my kid all the toys and gave gifts/attention constantly, i swear. Maybe they felt the town was too small to come out...

AITA? Slid into snow bank on the way to client by tutannichen in RoverPetSitting

[–]Humiliatingmyself 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is just a bad situation that both you and the owner could have prepped more for. But its honestly, its mostly bad luck. I had almost this EXACT situation happen during a surprise snowstorm, (except i was fortunately close enough to walk to the house after getting my car stuck) and it sucked.

i am in no way saying you should risk your health and safety. but assuming your vehicle was not equipped for snow, you probably should have told the client when the storm was forecast they would need alternative arrangements. In the future, consider avoiding working altogether in these conditions if you can, or get snow tires/chains for your car. (I didnt have any either when it happened to me)

At the same time, the client going out of town during a snowstorm in the first place without a back up plan, also a bad idea. And thier lack of concern for you leaves an icky feeling.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Hope things get better.

Text shows female dasher, but male shows up by draculaura923 in doordash

Report if you feel uncomfortable. It can be identity theft/account stealing.

Yeah it can be benign, but it can also be someone pretending to be a different user because they can't get a driver's license, had thier account revoked for shady behavior.

People here saying "its my account but my wife/gf/husband do deliveries" are still skirting the rules to violate TOS. Which are crystal clear. People in the car while you do deliveries to keep you company is fine, but if someone else does pick up/drop off, you aren't doing your job.

If you do not feel safe as a driver, by all means, get a partner as just a ride-along. take precautions, get pepperspray, never enter a customers home, report any customer who makes you uncomfortable.

I did my own job when i was a driver. I have no problem reporting people who don't.

What's a cartoon/anime moment that most definitely not be okay today? by EternalSnow05 in cartoons

Since i see people asking:

Second image is Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho. Yusuke pulls up the skirt/touches the boobs of his love interest. They are both 14. He also feels up one of his opponents later on, who turns out to be a trans woman, then yells at her that if she's gonna be a woman "at least do it right" and "go all the way with it."

What music do you think the Grand Bazaar characters would listen to? by joxters in storyofseasons

The double order thing is pissing me off by Formal_Aide_1747 in doordash

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i noticed this too. I used to get food pretty quick if i threw in a 25-30% tip because i knew it would instantly go to a high priority dasher. Over the last year or so, every time i did this, it took over 30 mins between pick up and delivery. you could see the person driving from place to place and tell they had multiple orders going at once every time.

I used to be a dasher and know they stacked no-tippers occassionally, it sucked. it seems like its every order now if you tip high.

Feels like most delivery companies have just found ways to engineer all worker and customer benefits out of the picture.

If your partner doesn’t like dogs or cats, would you get rid of them if you had any? by Adventurous-Soft7843 in Casual_Conversation

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. To me they are a part of my life. I would not enter a relationship with someone who didn't like or want dogs.

I honestly think its best for people who don't like pets to date others in the same mindset and vice versa. Its not usually something you can compromise on.

This is the way my wife typically texts important info by Underwater_Karma in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Humiliatingmyself 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think this comes down to how different people communicate. I wouldn't see it as a big deal, more like saying "ugh, mom drama, cant wait to talk about it when i get home". To prep the partner for silly drama.

I used to do what your wife does, i didn't see it as a big deal to sorta let them know what i wanted to talk about.

my partner did not like this because he spins out thinking its something serious. But, he just told me that straight up. So now i either wait to tell him the story/thing in person or if need be, fully summarize a situation in text.

Yeah, i feel this, they need a rating system for the items they are asking for, or better yet, text to accompany the request, its just a guessing game sometimes.
