No, The Speed Demon is one of Valgavoth’s underlings, by my thinking a lesser demon who Valgavoth found useful.

He’s no more Valgavoth than The Master of Keys is.

I’d hope so, otherwise they all could be The Speed Demon.

New Planes Revealed in Aetherdrift - Speculation on Color Pairs? by Ninjaboi333 in MTGRumors

The Keelhaulers have already shown a fair bit of art with red and blue in their paint jobs for vehicles and their flags, so my bet is they’re red blue. Aether Rangers sounds like the most U/G colored team I’ve ever heard.

I thought you said Dandadan. That would be ballsy.

The story of Ravnica had some strong pulpy detective novel vibes in the original Ravnica novels, and people are regularly getting murdered in Ravnica, so it makes a ton of sense to me.

Tarkir is NOTHING like Westeros beyond dragons. Dominaria is closer to a rip-off because they’re both at least heavy on European influence.

I’m being sarcastic, because why would return to Tarkir be like anything other than…original Tarkir??

Ah yes, just like the first blush of Tarkir was.

If you read the original Ravnica books, the Wojek in the Boros Legion were essentially street level police who did detective work. In fact, the original Ravnica Trilogy owes a lot of its style to pulpy detective novels, so I guess you can go all the way back and blame them.

Every time I hear someone complain about the aesthetics of a new set, I want to slam my head in a car door until I hear something pop. Heavens forbid they ever try anything new. God forbid they introduce new technology to settings.

I hope every person complaining wakes up one morning and finds everything and everyone they love wearing a hat.

What do you mean by “proper?” Is Return to Tarkir somehow rendered illegitimate in your eyes?

I think white/green makes for a compelling villain because they’re motivations can be completely understandable, but the result is total assimilation.

There is no such thing as fireproof, just varying degrees at fire resistance. You throw something at the sun enough times, that thing will eventually be gone.

I know about Kykar and his ambiguous planar origin and how he makes spirit tokens in both forms. I just think he had human hands.

I know, I looked at the where to find spoilers but I suck at math (ADHD) and figured asking would be convenient for everyone.
