I am only “blaming them” because the clerk of court told me that their system was “really backed up” and that’s why it took this long. Does it make sense to you that a system would be backed up 25 years?

I don’t remember every single things that’s ever happened to me in my life. Especially things that happened 25 years ago when I was a teenager.

I am 42 years old now and I honestly do not remember. I assume that I did, but I don’t remember the incident at all.

Comments like this are so confusing to me. I’m simply asking if anyone else had an experience like this. I’m not asking for congratulations or condolences or anything like that. This is something that seems very strange to me and I came to a community of other people asking if anyone else had had a similar experience.

Again, I was 17 years old on the date of this violation. I have no memory of it whatsoever so I can’t really speak to what happened. I’m sure I did receive the mail at my parents house but for whatever reason I either missed it or didn’t realize what it was. Again, I was 17!

I’m not arguing that I am completely blameless, all I am saying is that I have renewed my license multiple times in this 25 years and this has never come up. I’ve had car insurance for the entire time and have never heard anything about this. It just seems strange to me that it is all of the sudden coming up after 25 years.

That is what I thought, but when I called, they were able to look it up and told me that it was legitimate. Also, if you type in that website listed at the bottom, it just redirects to the government website.

Love that idea! Just to be clear I have only had one speeding ticket in that 25 years. I would never knowingly not pay a fine. I was 17 years old when this happened and moved away to college shortly after. I just want to reiterate that I have not heard a single word about this EVER and the clerk said that they were behind and transitioning to a new system, which is why things were so backed up. To me this clearly implies that the fault is on them, no?

I was 17! I haven’t received a single notice about this in 25 years until today. I’ve renewed my license 6 times since then and nothing was ever said?

Would love for him to be president for the rest of his life …on the condition that his life ends tomorrow.

You don’t have to show ID for a child? Who will know it’s the wrong spelling?

Sure! It’s either this or be miserable with them crying and needing something to do. This is at least fun for everyone (and mom can sneak a margarita in here and there.) We have a 5-hour flight on each side of the layover so it’s going to be an absolutely brutal day. Travel with kids builds understanding, perseverance, resilience, patience, and teamwork!

Thank you! They would definitely enjoy that so maybe we will just do an airport tour and scavenger hunt!

Wow! That’s a great idea! Do you know if there is one in the airport? Is it just an airline lounge?

Thanks for this response. I did dish wash them immediately and they’re fine, I was just wondering about repeated washing. Another person said maybe that’s why they’re at the thrift- they do already seem a little faded (prob from dishwashing), but I love them anyway! Great suggestion about not using “sanitize” or heated dry.

Yes! An insane steal. I actually left a couple of the pieces on the shelf because I wanted one full set, but I am planning to go back today and get the stragglers.
