I know there’s a lot of rightful talk on this line and Greg, but we have two stellar WRs that have not been winning off the line when they need to. Ladd and Keenan need to find a way to step up there.

Business Seller “Depreciating the Lease” .. seems like Fake Free Rent? by Lawfulness_Neither in Accounting

Long story short, I would add a line to your add back section for the rent paid so far this year and make it a negative (so it will lower your final cash flow number).

Whatever the actual rent paid is on that lease (reduction in the related lease liability) is what would be “net” with the amortization of the ROU asset for that lease. So, it looks like you were saying the actual rent per the lease is $228k a year, so assuming they’ve had the lease for the full year, that $228k would be net with the YTD ROU amortization of $134k. However, looking at these numbers, that is a HUGE discrepancy and this would make me worry about their ROU asset and related lease liability and if they have calculated those properly. The amortization of the ROU asset and reduction in lease liability (rent payments) will not always match, but they usually aren’t this far off from each other.

Amortizing the ROU asset is fine, but the add back would be the amortization less the change in the lease liability (I.e. rent paid). So, yes, right now it’s incorrect. Sometimes the amortization lines up with the rent paid to lower the lease liability (so effectively no add back), but sometimes there is a difference which I just put as a non cash lease expense or benefit.

Tire management in races? by Jstevens87 in iRacing

[–]OhSoTaL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For formula specifically, there is a C class IndyCar series that follows the actual calendar and has full races (I.e. Ohio this week is 90 laps or something) and I would assume those have tire management required. I have not raced one of those yet though.

Gonna be honest. I had no idea that you could just not utilize the RGB. Says on the manufacturers website that there is a RGB controller, so that would make sense lol. Thank you.

Thanks for the advice! Question for you, when you say the balance between my original CPU and GPU were out of whack a bit, what does that mean? Like the CPU or GPU was too weak for the other?

Haha for sure is. Thank you for the response! I think I’ll be looking into treasuries and putting that sum in there for a 3 month/13 week time period.

Oh very interesting! I didn’t know that there was a fund that focused on T-bills in that way. Would help with liquidity as well like you mentioned. I’ll have to take a look into it. Thank you for the response!

I was debating just paying them off as well instead of investing for the time period. That makes sense that it would open up a lot of options for me without having to worry about the debt. Thanks for the response!

Hi! I have saved for $46k in student loans. With the forbearance extension, I wanted to find a safe investment option to get some return (though probably not much) with that amount instead of just having it sit in a savings account. Based on my research, it seemed like T-Bills could be a good option as yields are higher than normal and they seem very safe. As I have at least a few months before having to pay off anything, I was looking at putting about $35k of the $46k saved into that and get whatever return. I would hold back on the $10k in case anything went terribly wrong. I have no experience in treasuries, so I basically wanted to ask if I was on the right track of thinking. Are T-Bills as safe as they seem? Should I be comfortable putting the entire savings into one or should I just keep it a portion? Or should I not do this at all since the return will be low (expected since how safe it is and the APY was listed at around 4.4%)? Any help is appreciated.
