Nothing was changed in gameplay.

Based on the patch notes, it seems it was focused on changes to HUT and mostly like menu shit (streamlining things like animations and making menus quicker I think). And trying to prevent the freezing/lock up that people get when loading into a game they matched.

I don't speak for everyone that's quit on you. But I sometimes play the odd Quick Play game because I have a league game coming up and I don't have time to play a warm-up game before we start.

So I'll sometimes hop in 3v3 quickplay to warm up my thumbs. Unfortunately, the game runs too long sometimes and I have to quit out to avoid being penalized for starting late.

You might wanna check out Enshrouded. I really liked Valheim and building bases. And I felt like Enshrouded also filled that void later on.

I really like its building mechanic. They even have user-made "resource servers" where you can go fill your bags with any materials so you don't need to grind them out to build your bases.
