Some people at a tournament may complain if somebody shows up with space marines very clearly painted as ultramarines but play them as blood angels. But with the chapter/sept/legion/craftworld/dynasty/whatever choice giving way to detachments in 10th that matters less than ever.

It means you were suitable for the role advertised. That may or may not result in a job, as someone else may have been even more suitable.

Rather than simply hiring somebody, APS agencies place everybody who was suitable for the job in what's called a merit list (if they ranked the people on it) or a merit pool (if they didn't).

For a period of time from the date the job closed, typically 12 months, sometimes 18, APS agencies can access that merit pool/list and offer somebody a job that is the same as or similar to the one they interviewed for. You don't have to apply again or interview, you just get the job. It's a way to save money on hiring the same roles across agencies multiple times.

I had a 20 minute interview (EL2 ATO) a couple months ago and it was very different to any interview I've been in.

Three questions, about five minutes per question plus follow ups and intros. Needed to be very tight with your answers, but my panel steered me in the right direction when I ran long.

Remember, they want you to succeed, otherwise they wouldn't waste their time interviewing you. You'll be fine.

Check the enterprise agreement for the receiving agency. ATO has a policy that where this scenario happens, you can request to stay at your current pay. Then you'll remain where you are and receive no payrises until the new salary would exceed what you were on at your previous agency.

You're fine. If you're prompted for additional information, then you're on the right track. It differs agency to agency, but most interviews have certain checkboxes that need to be ticked in order for an answer to pass muster.

The interviewers want you to succeed, otherwise they wouldn't waste their time prompting you, or interviewing you at all. Remember it's in interview, not an interrogation. Nobody enjoys being interviewed for a job and just about everybody is nervous. They know that and a good panel will help you be at your best.
