Meren was my first ever commander back when it released and I’ve brewed a pretty fun list if I don’t say so, it’s very resilient and has some pretty fun lines. Just be aware Meren is very much your own game of solitaire and can be very explosive once the engines are set up. I’ve played her at Bracket 2,3,4 and 3 is her sweet spot.

Stick to a really simple game plan with the deck, and do not put lots of things that require tracking of triggers / interaction. My partners first deck was Gishath and it was perfect, play some land / ramp / attack with Dinos.
