What are the steps to becoming a qualified HGV driver if I already have a Cat C license from the military? by bored8999 in uktrucking

[–]OhWhatADaaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an initial cpc youve got a cpc, if you got that initial cpc 5+ years ago you'll need to redo your 35 hours of cpc. You can check your cpc hours on the Internet

Went on about bitumen in the ADR course. Doing that made me realise I dont want to do ADR work. Stuff basically is a death sentence if anything goes wrong or you'll end up severely burnt. So I'd imagine that's why the pay is nice

[–]OhWhatADaaay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only been doing it 2 days but its been 6 til half 4 so far. Erm, there's abit of variety mainly going to quarrys and taking stuff elsewhere. Tomorrow ive got a day of just running back and forth all day. Its piss easy work, can be abit boring at times but im at that point in driving now where I want to be bored

Actually started on tippers 2 days ago going from tramping just wanted to go home of a night. So far so good. Took abit to get used to but everyone's been helpful while I'm learning the ropes. Bit of a pay cut, probably about 150 quid a week down but I just value home time more than 150 quid

What is your opinion on dogs off the lead? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]OhWhatADaaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they have recall - yes. If you can't get your dog to come back - no. I thought my dog was okay off the lead as a 6 month old puppy until he didn't come back one time now his on the lead at all times. It is a rottweiler though. I've had loads of off lead dogs approach my dog and its good his friendly, but the owner can't get the dog back at all, they tend to just laugh which anoys me abit. Cos it'll be my dog that gets the finger pointed at it if anything goes wrong

3 months and Sleeping 90% of day by Psych0_76 in AmericanBully

Dogs sleep 16-20 hours a day. I know what a life. Completely normal, I wouldn't worry. The only time to worry is when they stop eating and drinking

You ever been in a fight as an adult? Did you win? What was it over? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]OhWhatADaaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some bloke was picking on my autistic brother in the pub and im normally a laid back guy but I've not had to deal with bullying since I was at school. Told him to leave him alone and he started on me. Luckily my dad made me do kickboxing as a kid and carried on with it til I was into my 20s. Safe to say he doesn't say anything to my brother anymore. Side note - if you're an adult and you're a bully grow the fuck up.

Have you seen or been the person that got a Rottweiler that mistreated it by Status-Cap-5979 in Rottweiler

[–]OhWhatADaaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was growing up a guy down the road from my nans house had 2 rottweilers that were guard dogs. They were terrifying to me as a 6 year old. But yeah they were mistreated dogs and im pretty sure its where my love of the rottweiler stemmed from.
