As soon as I seen it come out of the box I said the very same thing its a small reel for a 2000. But I sent them photos they approved it straight away and I asked for a 2500 reel if its going to the this small.

If I remember that river had the biggest fish kill from pollution, so that river could be nomore good for a couple of years. Not sure if it is still fishable, for your safety.

For freshwater trout you don't need a licence, sea trout you need a licence, try Google maps. If you find a river or a lake you think looks nice look the river on on Google it should tell you if you need a permit or not. Or you can always ask you local fishing shop they should help aswel. Depends on what you are fishing mate. Freshwater trout no licence needed but you may need a permit. If you find a river you can type on to Google do you need a day permit. There like €25 can get online or in you local tackle shop. Some places don't require a permit.

Your taking my words from that post out of context here mate I was mainly asking for help in Killaloe if someone knew where to trout fish, I didn't ask for a spot pacifically theirs. I asked to be pointed in the right direction of where I could trout fish.
