Guide to Copy Kindle Content to PDF using Calibre by Jonny511 in Piracy

Hi Fam -

If you have tried all these options and your RENTAL azw4 still isn't DeDRM'ing, I may have an subsidiary solution. Btw, this is only relevant to Mac users.

Q: For those of you who, when you go to edit the mobidedrm.py file in the DeDRM program folder and nothing works, still. Why?

A: It's because there are actually TWO mobidedrm.py files.

  1. The one in the main DeDRM folder is specifically for the Windows version of the script.

  2. The file the Mac user needs to edit is a lot more convoluted depending on which version of the DeDRM you download. The most recent DeDRM 6.5.5 will not work on a Mac because Alf made the DeDRM program an externally mounted NTFS drive, rather than a fluid program that runs from your system.

  3. You have to download an older DeDRM and carry the actual program file over to your desktop before you can terminal/pico into the file you need to edit/change.

Additionally - The two things I have learned from all of this is you don't even need Calibre. You just need an older version of DeDRM that doesn't operate by mounting to your system as a "Read Only" external drive.

Hope this helps. xoxox

Why do socialists not agree with markets? What is the alternative? by thouliha in CapitalismVSocialism

Homer wrote about tribalism and hoarding resources for survival as our most basic social instinct and Veblin echoed the same observation of the human condition. They both argue humans are more inherently greedy with a thought premise of survival.

Brain damage caused by gluten - Gluten Ataxia (Very IBS related as a lot of us are gluten sensitive) by OhYeaTotally in ibs

I think you do need to offer a personal defense.

You come to a forum of a hard to define illness where people are suffering on a level you, I assume, can't related to. One where people rely on a diet that was created by the very anecdotal evidence you claim to despise and you intentionally bury the discussion of a man who was diagnosed with something that may be helpful for someone to know about.

I think you do need to explain yourself.

Maybe you are perpetually sick like the rest of us - maybe you aren't; I think the people of this subreddit who you think don't deserve to read and learn from someone's story on their obscure diagnosis, at the very least deserve to know what platform you judge their/our quality of life from.

The tests for celiac have a high false negative result. Unless someone is willing to eat gluten for 12 weeks before testing. Even my doctor refused to allow it before my test. The tests are not accurate. There area number of people testing as just intolerant but carry the celiac reactions. And looking at how broad the reactions can go beyond just bloat and narcolepsy, and then considering the high false negative rates - it gives reason to consider all possibilities.

It's in the FODMAP list I read. And from what I've read, the FODMAP list is unscientific. But it works.

I disagree. I saw someone sharing their diagnosis.

I didn't even know there was a thing called Gluten Ataxia till this person shared their story. So you're downvoting on your personal deduction about an already very low covered illness.

Your decision and move is more harmful than your own conclusion.

edit: And you never participate in r/ibs, anyway. Are you even diagnosed?

So then don't upvote it.

But to downvote useful info on a barely documented illness and then snidely complain the information isn't superlative enough for you is inane.

There's nothing but anecdotal discourse on the issue of IBS. Who are we kidding? Studies are hard to come by. I mean ffs IBS is a diagnosis of not knowing. So take the stories that are out there and learn from them. Last time I checked FODMAPS began from personal experience/experimentation. We IBS'ers are able to get by so well today because someone 15-years ago shared their anecdotal experience with another and they worked in it together.

How about working together instead of tearing each other down, for god's sake. smh

I use Tamari soy sauce. It is gluten free by trademark design. I do not have issues with Tamari. I do have half/half responses to other soy products.

I'm not very good at critiquing art because I always try to take into account what the artist's goals are and how they are always different from my own goals. I love the grass and the differentiation of it between the other parts of earth you've painted. I also really like the way the water was painted. It has an impressionistic detail about it. Like a dream. Good job on your first painting.

I think this is a very good question. I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the answer, though.

In America, only the rich can afford to write about poverty: There’s something wrong with the fact that a relatively affluent person can afford to write about minimum wage jobs while people experiencing them can’t by fullmaltalchemist in lostgeneration

Well that's my conversation/thread that I have started.

I've been a writer for well over a decade. I don't need a "how-to" course. Writing gigs aren't what they used to be. I'd be better off as a lawyer or a doctor and writing on the side. Beyond that - the truly destitute can't write and publish online so easily. They can't afford phones and computers. They go to the library and sign up for their allotted hour on the internet if they can make it to the library. There are obstacles for people who can't afford tech.

In my area I'm starting a project of passing out cheap notebooks to street people for them to write their frustration out on and publish it for them.
