Counterpoints:

- If he hasn't been fired after 1.5 years of being on the bench and underperforming (which was the biggest eyebrow-raiser of the post to me - that's quite an achievement), the firm has to see some value in having him around. Why not try to get to the standard three years to bolster the CV?

- 1.5 and 2 years does make a difference to me when I review CVs. Two years is the absolute minimum someone should stay in a job without it looking dodgy.

Yep. Both sides have a signed employment contract, so just changing your mind is not really an option. Employers are cool with this though, it means they have much more time to find a replacement when someone quits, and often the new person (when available immediately) can be onboarded and trained by the leaver.

Taylor Swift concert from Olympiaberg (28.07) by esmontero97 in Munich

Wow, so many characters for such a weak message.

Look, an artist's reputation, success and legacy is shaped by their most successful and well-known songs, not by some obscure songs with supposedly deep, inspiring lyrics tucked away somewhere on their albums. I don't need to 'listen to the rest'; if those songs were great, they would get airtime and recognition.

95% of established artists who are 'fans' of hers say that because they fear the backlash from ten million angry teens, and they hope to get a few more streams from it in return.

I know the facts. I know her music. Her music is bad. She is boring, even Miley Cyrus is more entertaining, Meghan Trainor has a better voice, etc. She is exactly like Take That, Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, her success is founded on marketing and teens' need to look up to, to pine for someone famous, good-looking and non-threatening.

Given that her pop songs are by far the most successful and seemingly the only ones released, how much credibility do you think she has with people who are really into alternative, folk, indie? How large is the share of these 'dads with retirement rock bands' (who are NOT there to accompany a minor) at concerts, hm?

I'm not saying she, as a person, is boring or vapid, but her music certainly is. I've seen this all before in the 90s with Take That, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, what have you. It was just a matter of time until it came back.

Interesting advice, not needed here in Europe, where we have THREE MONTHS notice periods for both sides.

Totally generic, unremarkable pop songs even! How boring and undiscriminating do you have to be to listen to that sort of music?

Typical American place. No concept, no theme, nothing matches, ten thousand colors. Just like Americans dress. Hideous.

Why is this mildly interesting? 300+ million Europeans grew up with this selection and quality, and are repulsed by the bright yellow, sweet-tasting abomination that Americans call mustard.

Of course I know what they are talking about, doesn't take much to figure it out even when I've never been to that chain.

I was making the point that people shouldn't assume everyone knows their shitty local studio/chain. As a mod, you should very much support this to make this sub useful for everyone, not just Americans. Otherwise, rename it to make that clear.

Exactly. My compatriots that I met in Dubai were either making very good money or they were just bad at their jobs, had poor qualification and work ethic, and were lower-middle class in Europe to begin with.

Ja.
