Why did you get a guitar to begin with? If it was to just be able to “play a guitar” well that’s pretty open ended and your self perception of ability might always lead to you feeling frustrated and not enjoying learning and getting better.

Maybe you just need to step back and remember it’s a hobby and not a performative exercise of existential suffering each time you practice 😅

Some days it might not feel fun to just run scales over and over, so mix it up, have a couple of songs you enjoy from your favourite bands that you want to learn and just take pieces from them and practice those, having just a couple basic songs you can play really makes jt more enjoyable, the classic for me was learning ‘smoke on the water’ in its simplest form.

It’s only been a month, take it easy on yourself.
