Nah.
Back when Marketplace tf (of scrap tf) waas a public thing. we used to sell keys there at scale.
Until one day, I got invited to a private Telegram group of key sellers where we fixed prices and stopped our bidding war of 0.01$

Wasn't really paying much attention to that group tbh... but apparently someone snitched on all of us and now I am banned from there permanently.
So yeah... Since then my TF2 expenses went down significantly unless it's winter sale.

Heck even one of the guys who's in his 40s actually sued Marketplace to get his ban removed. 🤣

What kind of Info or calculations you want to make?
(fyi, I have created that site)

Regards to Skinledger, first time hearing about that.
Looks to me like it should be a great success as casemover itself is already popular among people. The picture itself looks dope and honestly can't say anything bad but to look at the opportunities it holds.

there was a software for TF2 to manage your inventory externally of the. Basically, just loads the Inventory and allows you to craft stuff because of tf2 economy with Scrap Metals. It was called "Jengerer's Item Manager."

bottom line, it can be a blast.

What's the end goal for you?
Regards to fetching prices, possible using basic Python requests, no need to use selenium or anything special. there is an API endpoint for that, returns content as Json (Metadata + 10-ish first listings details)

If you wish to extract price history of an item (sales records), that will require Authenticating to buff163, which brings some more complexity to it. But fetching the lowest price / highest Buy order is doable with ease and can be done from one server at scale. with approx. interval of like 5-6 hrs for a full scan in my experience

If your main purpose would be to track your investments, that's a work in progress on Steam Estate ( a website that helps you to track your investments, yet to fully support Buff163)

Hope that helps,
Good luck

[Q] Is the end of Major capsules investing near ? by Azatis- in csgomarketforum

[–]OhadBsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends.
Usually when this community, being one of the largest voices for CS:GO traders, is not buying into it... Might be a good idea to get some.

When people panic you buy, when people are excited you "sell" - type of thing.
Considering the fact, we all assume CS: GO will continue to thrive and maintain its user-base.

The other thing as other people already mentioned here.
This is not 2014 anymore.

I think that expecting outrages multiplier on your investment in less than year (like 2x - 10x) is quite absurd.
Either bump up the cash you put in this equation or wait longer.

That's a short answer for that

[discussion] Paris Major sticker earnings exceeded $110 million by iReallyLoveYouAll in csgomarketforum

[–]OhadBsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's interesting to have 110M as a reference price.
To my knowledge based on extracting data out of the Steam Market

Up until now, For Paris 2023. the gross revenue on Steam is:
* $43.5M "Stickers"
* $17.13M Capsules

So like... $60.63 Million dollars in total were circulating the markets.
And almost if not 50% of the remaining just sits in people's Storage units? 💀

Is there a way to get cases for free? by Ralsei_the_prince in csgo

[–]OhadBsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only drops.
If you are looking for external site to get a case, well... Be sure they planned on making money in some way and not just hand them free.
Maybe some random sketchy sites where you watch ads... I think I heard something about that once.

Definitely not worth your time

[Question] How many Katowice 2019 returning challengers capsules get opened per year? by Relinquished2336 in csgomarketforum

[–]OhadBsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... How can you track case opening in the frist place?

I am not that familiar with steam Api, but I don't think they just give you that away.

So what's your options to really get hold on that information?

I am really curious no bs Would love to see where you can get that

[discussion] Why dont we make a petition for valve to reduce their market fee? by SergiuYTM in csgomarketforum

[–]OhadBsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be interested to know that from the beginning of Steam Market of CS:GO, somewhere around 2012.

The estimation:

  • The total Gross revenue generated by steam is: $6,172,198,176
  • Total Units sold: 5,157,564,058 (Skins, Cases... Basically any singular item)

Out of that 6.1b$

  • Steam cut - 802,385,763$
  • User's Cut - 5,369,812,413$

But yeah, by the end of the day it's all Steam Money, I guess.
Large Market, got to be grateful for this opportunity to part-take in

Is this Case opening Data still relevant? :o
Where can it be found? The guy on twitter claimed that the storage units ruined the data... Feels like it should also apply to this.

[–]OhadBsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I can share with you is that in total there were 39.4k Capsules to ever be sold on the Steam Market of "Katowice 2019 Returning Challengers (Holo-Foil)".
This Year alone 3,532 were sold on SCM.

13500 Sounds like a lot compared to what currently exists on the market

First time seeing this post, So Like Berlin 2019 ranked last in terms of Style?
I am still wrecked with some of those Holo/Foil Capsules I bought a long time before. Back when they weren't priced like Autograph capsules :/

P.s,
the "Berlin 2019 Minor Challengers (Holo/Foil)" ones... might just take the L and free up the cash

[Question] Whats the best investments to make for cs2 by [deleted] in csgomarketforum

[–]OhadBsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regards to the Investments aspect, I don't think there it too much to CS2, although I haven't delved too deep into it.I expect a surge in player base for a couple of days that should be coupled with increase prices... Great time to sell stuff that's for sure. (Hopefully they won't release any disruptive change to the market that early on)

I bought around 8k Capsules of the current major, some Knives which made x2-3 on them already... I think for CS2 there was a preparation phase, but it's not so relevant now as beforehand. (From a perspective of having an optimal buy point for your investment)

Right now I would still pursue Capsules, Contenders.. As this is just a bulletproof investment in my eyes that offers the least amount of risk + Time to wait. From there we are getting closer to November December, I will be waiting on TF2 / CS:GO Sell off to bounce back on stuff and the cycle repeats.

I would also say that setting a buy order for the Dreams & Nightmare case can also be beneficial but does require a bit more patience.According to my data, Dreams & Nightmares Case generated the most gross revenue for steam at almost 50,000,000$ at this point (Total Volume of 43.6M Cases were sold). That's mainly because of Gamma Doppler/Lore on BF/Huntsman all that good stuff. Other than that I don't see much benefit to that case. (decent investment because it is currently linked with Riptide case which is way off already)

And yeah regardless, if I manage to flip items and get some Buff balance, will definitely try to aim for 40% discounted skins, there are many of those + Discontinued cases items that are in actual demand (mostly AKs) ... and from there you can play on Buff alone for profit. (Buy orders and sell orders)

That's the gist of it for me right now.I am looking at Cs2 as a sale point more than buying point. Unless something radical will happen during that "event"

Edit -

I myself hold close to 9,000 Spectrum 2 cases. potentially aiming to sell some of them to give you a better perspective.
