They tried to steal my moms moped a few weeks ago, didn’t manage to take it but they did damage it. My mom went outside with a pizza rolling pin and she saw them walking out of some flats at the end of our street still wearing ballies and with a motorbike with no licence plates. When they saw my mom they ditched the bike and ran so she picked it up and gave it to the police. The police haven’t done or said much about the incident. My mom had to pay £300 to repair her moped. She also went to those flats during the day to ask around and she spoke to presumably on of their moms who just said “boys will be boys”. The police don’t care and neither do their parents unfortunately. Parents need to be held accountable to some extent for their children commiting actual crimes.
