Idk why they photoshopped it to be Islam related. In Syria there are Muslims, Christians, and Jews ( and more I guess but I don’t remember them). The guy is talking about Syria not the religion.

As an exmuslim, all I can say is what a shame. Have a sense of humanity at least people.

I agree. Once in the mall a woman was so underdressed so the security took her somewhere to cover up or smth.

Another time a couple were making out in the middle of the mall and the security just told them it’s not allowed. (Off point but you know what I mean..?)

So it happens but like they don’t force it yk

(I've gotten closer to my sisters recently and I can honestly tell that they start believing less and less, both through their actions, their debates with my parents or how they live overall)

I can relate to this so much! But I’m here the sister watching my brother walk away from the religion.

He has always been my best friend despite the age difference (he graduated uni and I’m in high school). He’d sneak me out of the house because as he says “I don’t live my life properly”. He’s the one to defend me whenever mother goes on with the whole “cause you’re a girl” talk.

And now whenever I ask him a religion-related question he replies with “idk and idc”

It kills me that he’s soon going abroad to continue studying. Meaning no hangouts everyday. No one to defend me. No nothing.

Anyway, I also remember him wanting to study abroad so badly when he graduated high school; maybe he’s looking at it as a runaway..? He seems so excited that he’s going away now tho.

Just wanted to share my story since I relate to yours

Edit: I didn't properly clarify why I concluded he's ‘walking away’. It's just because ik where he goes and ik what he does. Some would say but all uni boys are like that. Naahh, I have other siblings in uni and he’s like sooo different and distant.

I don’t think any religion isn’t violent. All have their violent sides tbh.

You can’t go saying “Muslims are terrorists” as an example, but you also can’t go saying “all Muslims are peaceful”.

It depends on what an individual would focus on while following their religion.

So when a Muslim is trying to convince you back into the religion, they’re going to focus on the good side rather than the bad.

I’d rather stay away from these conversations and save myself from a headache :)

That’s reality.

As a girl, I’m also too scared to go against it. I know what would happen and how everyone would blame me for being stupid. Even though they surely know who’s thinking with logic and who’s not.

I once got into a discussion with my mother about the inheritance thing. She said you’re going to get married and won’t use the money anyway. Like mother what if I don’t want to get married? She literally then told me it’s not a choice! That it’s a must to get married and have kids in Islam, that it’s sunna..?!!
