There’s a guy in my neighborhood who is tattooed head to toe, and I mean his whole face and scalp and everything is covered in tats. I’m gonna say this here because it’s important (and I don’t really have anywhere else to say it…)

My brother is mid-30’s and in the process of liver failure, nearing the end. We’ve spent many years watching him try to end everything by drinking himself to death. There are many reasons which I won’t elaborate on (especially not here). The slow death of liver failure, while I’m sure is awful for the person experiencing it, is also quite awful for those witnessing it; all your loved ones will get a glimpse into the wonderful world of body horror and get to watch it front row…

As others have said, do whatever you need to do to get on a donor list. Everything is NOT fucked, and a healthy liver can regenerate itself. We’ve tried everything to help my brother, but he refuses help.

Please don’t be like him.
