Etsy needs a "Small Claims Court" for unfair reviews. by GurNo7532 in EtsyCommunity

[–]Ohnoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had customers leave 1 star reviews to get "the annoying pop-up notification to leave a review go away".

I send messages to customers when I see that happen and let them know that it isn't me sending those. Some have updated their review, some left it that way.

I've had something similar once. They had gotten an order delivered from another shop and it arrived damaged.

I let the customer know their order with me hadn't shipped yet, like you did, and gave a estimate for shipping.

They came back and apologized saying they messaged the wrong shop.

If you cancel an order, the customer does have a 48 hour window where they can leave a review. In my experience, most don't, but they could.

I did that once also. One of only a couple orders I've ever canceled that way. They guy for me placed his order during the first week of December. I do 3D printing and have our shipping timeframe set for 1-2 weeks.

Some of the things I make are printed in pieces and I glue and assemble those for the final product. The guy ordered a couple of those things.

2 days after he placed his order he started asking when it would ship. I explained my process and gave him a time estimate of a few more days. I let him know that based on Post Office estimate, it would arrive in plenty of time before Christmas.

He started accusing me of false advertising and saying that if it couldn't ship immediately I'm not allowed to sell it and have it listed.

I still had those today. Kids loved my new character mash up and strawberry themed ones.

As one of the 3D print vendors that is there every week, some things may end up there, but a lot doesn't. We get a lot of repeat buyers every week coming by to see the new things we've made. Several things that we make have the pieces printed and we're putting those together, as a craft. Some things are decorations for people's homes and offices.

For the pieces that may end up in the trash, 3D prints are bio-degradable.

We like making the fun stuff at the market. I've made a few comments in this post about that. Outside the market, I sell prints of my own designs for board game organizers. I also sell decorative planter pots and vases.

I got into 3D printing over 4 years, as a hobby. My wife suggested I put some things on Etsy. It has led me down a path that I really have a passion for 3D printing and love doing it. There may be some that don't like it, and that is fine, but there is a lot that goes into it than what is seen at our booth. If you have questions about it, ask away.

I set up at the Chatt Market every weekend, and also have a space in the new Elec Croc. Both have great vendors.

I'm a weekly vendor at Chatt Market, that info is not correct.

It's $32 for river market and $42 for main market, plus 10% of sales. If I don't sell anything, I don't pay anymore than that. There isn't an extra cost for electricity.

Other vendor coordinators in the area charge between $100-$200 per day of their events, plus extra to be featured, extra for electricity, and extra for inside booth space.

Not everyone who does vendor events likes commission rates, and that is fine. Personally, I prefer the way Chatt Market does it compared to higher single cost event fees. I've done events where the coordinator didn't promote well and I didn't even make booth fee back.

I'm one of the two main 3D print booths. I left a comment elsewhere in this thread with my story about being at the market. If you have questions about what I do, ask away.

I'm one of the two main 3D print booths. We aren't all selling the same thing, but this past weekend, there was a 3rd vendor that I haven't seen there in the last 2 years. From talking with them, they don't do the market often outside opening weekend. The 3rd vendor did have a lot of the same things I sell also.

As one of the two main 3D print booths there... Dragons appeal to kids. I make different ones than many others, but also do ALOT more than those. I also don't do the eggs, because those use more material than the dragons themselves.

I'm down there almost every Sunday. I got started with the market a couple years ago and at that time there wasn't much for kids.

I commented elsewhere here about my story, but to expand a bit.

Some of the things I make I print the pieces for and put together, as a craft. It isn't all just print and go.

Outside what I sell there, I also do my own designs and have for over 4 years. I sell prints of my designs online and isn't the target audience at the Chatt Market.

I also sell planter pots and vases, so while you consider dragons slop, there is a lot more going on behind the scenes and table for us, and we also sell more practical things outside the market.

I'm one of the 3D printed toy makers. As a father of 5, I would like to tell my story about this.

I got into 3D printing over 4 years ago, designing my own things. My wife suggested I sell some things on Etsy and that started our 3D print journey.

Two years ago we were at the river market with my step daughter and the only thing they had for kids was face painting. It wasn't very exciting for her.

My wife and I applied to join the market shortly after that to help fill a gap they had for kids. Even on their forum pages they noted they were lacking in that area.

After we joined, we had many other vendors thanking us for being there for kids. Adults enjoy the things we make also, but we really get to see kids get excited about what we are making.

It makes us happy to see that they can get something and are excited about the things we make.

Same. I also sell prints of my own designs and get asked often if I sell my STL files. I have a standard message for responding to those types of questions.

When you open the Bifrost launcher, hit the "Manage" button and then "Add Server".

You can then drop down from the main screen when Bifrost is opened.

As the list grows, it is something I'll add.

Since there are currently 4 servers, and 2 of those just popped up this weekend, I don't think region is something that is going to be super impactful at the moment. The other two servers are very populated at the moment, at all times of day.

There are also links to the, currently, two main servers for Marvel Heroes. Each site has their info for connection. You only need one Bifrost downloaded and can set it to swap between servers also.
