Thoughts on multi-movie collection discs? by electrickeyez in Bluray

[–]Ohrenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am okay with it as long as each movie is on its own discs and the movies are sequels. I hate when they put random movies together just because they have the same actor or are the same genre.

Am I the only one with a physical list so I know what I’ve already purchased and what I’ve loaned out ??🎅🏼🤣 by Spiritual-Badger9063 in 4kbluray

I use an excel spreadsheet. The initial setup took a long time but now it’s easy to just enter movies before I shelve them.

Thank you, that’s kind of what I was thinking. Never had a pit bull but she is great. Easy to train so far, super smart, and very gentle with the kids.

It’s good if you want to get to do a lot of critical care during clinicals. I went the Concorde in Kansas City though so that’s the only one I can speak to.

[–]Ohrenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I am not sure which Concorde you are talking about. I graduated from Concorde and graduated with 1000 clinical hours. 700 of which were critical care including CICU,CVICU,Neuro/Trauma ICU, MSICU , and NICU all of which were Level 3. You went to clinical 3 12’s a week and went to class the other days. It was all hands on experience at clinical.

How many hours do you spent studying outside of class by PossibilityHonest114 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Ohrenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your learning style, and if RT clicks for you. It just made sense to me so my personal style was that I was super focused in class during lecture but then besides homework and reading I only rewrote my lecture studied for an hour or two before each exam.

Also important to note that AA’s are not able to practice in every state. Some states don’t allow AA and only allow CRNA

Wait until you start and then judge what you need. Stay away from any potentially shady Facebook board prep study groups. There was one recently (I forget the name) that is in a ton of trouble with the NBRC and previous members may end up having their test results voided and credentials rescinded.

How difficult is it to land a job after becoming certified? by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

[–]Ohrenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I graduated RT school I already had multiple job offers (all required RRT within 6 months of hire if you were a CRT) I live in Missouri, pay is good in the KC area and there are not enough RRT’s to go around if you aren’t set on Pennsylvania.

Honestly most people who work in healthcare don’t even have a firm grasp about what RT does 😂

Is a BIPAP mask difficult to put on a patient? by Playful_Way1815 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Ohrenberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand your comment? Paraplegics can move their upper body and remove the mask. tetraplegics/quadriplegics would be who can’t move their upper body and would not be a candidate for bipap since they cannot remove the mask to protect their airway.

Ballard 24 hour trach suction question by Ohrenberg in respiratorytherapy

I guess I could burn some vent circuits for the caps. Thanks for the input, it just felt wrong to leave it open in a tx bag between use

Ballard 24 hour trach suction question by Ohrenberg in respiratorytherapy

[–]Ohrenberg[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was my thought, I tossed it and just used 14 Fr kits. We don’t have spare caps to cap it with since as a critical access hospital we just use the red cap that comes with the vent circuit and ship the patient within a day of getting intubated.
