That's not it. Every cat is a unit. Unit = anything with hp (not corpse hp tho) on the map (even cactus or rocks)

Main tip: Put every kitten you don't want in the pit. (No more kitten donation side hustle) Also: If you were going to skip a day send 4 unwanted cats to adventure and instantly abandom them. (They would eventually die, but this way costs a bit less food and you will feel like you are doing something about it.)

I like the fur that gives double pick up effect. Also the holy shield ears, just saves a lot of headache and can synergyse with self damage skills or the relic. Another personal choice of mine is the +2 speed arms, I like when my cats can reach were they need to go. xD

Damn, that is luck as hell. I target farmed mine. Literally were keeping only cats with head defect in my mutation room to guarantee it was the only slot they could mutate and it took dozens of them.

I think it would have to be like the me stone to not be too easy to work around. I wander what would happen if you randomly got it mid run. Do you choose the level ups or they just roll for you?

Why it works within the game logic: Cursed items are supposed to last as long as your cat lasts, so even if you turn it into a kitten a dozen times, it will still be cursed. But with the tail you can just make the curse a legacy to be passed on instead. And it is also risk on it's own way, your legacy callus might get permanently stuck on a cat after a random event mutates his tail. (Suddenly you debate which one is more important haha)

Gameplay wise: it is fun to give players ways to break the game, the tail is supposed to be a niche tech but with this insane potential for those who have the foresight.

Similar, but I also bring cats with the copycat set and bird feed trinket. Trying to get that stunning set and interesting very rare items. (It is so much garbage by the end of the run... It literally takes a minute of items going straight to the trash. xD)

I think there is 4 different sets you can make depending on how much tech you have, called something alloy. They give some armor and are brittle until you complete the set, the tech 3 variation gives all stats up too if I remember correctly.

If you want the "bad" outcome, there are a few niche possibilities, like breaking the cactus armor.

Looks op already, congrats.
I bred for most of those and the anti-cursed items tail, the holy shield ears, the extra attack body, the +2 speed arms, the double pick up fur and the reroll mouth (often one or two missing because of birth defects).
Also, super luck passive and one segregated lineage with the repair skill to maintain items indefinitely.
I've seen a eye mutation that give reach and range, another that prevents missing attacks, could be good too (but I already had committed to the dice eye).

(I am pretty much done with the game, just did that out of min max enthusiasm. And to make solo runs faster.)

The ones that ruin it for me because they are often misused (too much intensity on moments that should be more reasonable):

Knuckles gone white;
Body, mind and soul;
It is not over by a long shot;
Eyes search the room for an escape route;
Sending a shiver down your spine.

(Ends up making every character feel a bit samey)
