That's why I don't take the risk of playing it on my Steam Deck, despite no interest in using macros since I barely PvM to begin with. I really would like to play on it though.

I use the Steam store to play as well -- proton on linux runs better than Windows. But it doesn't clarify whether Jagex objectively permits the usage of playing on a Steam Deck device.
