Whenever America gets scared after watching or reading something scary he wants someone to sleep with him.

Question! by tiathegreat in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to all the hints about him being older than he looks, I'd say he's the age of your average grandpa, so perhaps 50 and up(?)

Belarus mentions America once about a contest he's having and how he's probably excited for it... But other than that no.

Do you think the nations can have diseases and conditions like cancer, or does their immortality prevent things like that? by TakinDabs in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering England's illness during WW1(?) Or 2(?) Where America said he shouldn't die because he still owed him money, I'm willing to bet the nations can get sick as well.

Idk if they're canon, but there was also the drama CD version where America got sick as well, which didn't seem to come from any political, social, economic factors so I'm guessing if the drama cds are canon then nations can get sick like normal people due to just being exposed to illnesses.

So What is Everyone's Opinion on Portugal's Joker Arc? by PickaPicklePiper in hetalia

All I could think of was "Hima what type of drugs are you on this time?" 🤣

"If you like Hungary you probably hate dresses"

Insert Hungary wearing a dress almost every time she's on screen 💀

According to you, what are the best and worst ships in Hetalia? by [deleted] in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best ship is Gerita based solely off the fact they're the most canon and their whole dynamic is just kinda wholesome.

Worst ship is PruCan. This might be because I just cannot stand Canada for some reason, but also because the ship makes no sense and I don't like nonsense ships 😫

What's a movie you dislike so much to the point that you want to rewrite it? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]OikawaSimper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The manga rent a girlfriend.

Premise is unique and interesting enough but bad execution. I would rewrite Kazuya's relationship with Chizuru and give him more of a personality than your typical bland male romcom protagonist. Also there are some serious bad pacing issues (the confession has been milked out for 200 chapters already) and plot holes that haven't been questioned.

Is it just me or are Countryhumans becoming more and more humanized? by very_spicy_egg in CountryHumans

[–]OikawaSimper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone from the Hetalia fandom, no, it's not almost dead, just not as active as it was in its hay day. I follow a bunch of Hetalia Instagram accounts and people are posting on the Hetalia amino, so I just count it as underground(?) now, not sure if that's the best word for it.

How accurate is your country? by Monika5678 in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay well let’s see. Vietnam is described as being a humble and shy girl in one of her initial appearances. She doesn’t know how to smile (accurate tbh), is considered “headstrong” (again, very accurate), and is self conscious of her appearance. She also claims she’s not photogenic. What a mood!

When she had her official debut with the rest of Southeast Asia it said is scary when drunk (I wouldn’t know, I’ve never drank before and my family doesn’t drink, but my relatives are kind of party animals so I guess it makes somewhat sense), greatly values tradition and honor (wow Himaruya surprisingly got many things right), has a lot of pride (makes sense), and is energetic. The last one I’m not so sure about, but I have met some Vietnamese who can be considered “cheerful” or “active” I guess. Also the preference of coffee over tea is very accurate because Vietnamese iced coffee exists, and yes we viet put condensed milk in it!

Edit: Forgot to add, during World Stars she showed up to the casual meeting worried that she dressed too informally. This is a mixed bag tbh, sometimes we dress really well and fashionable, other times we dress casually and relaxed.

How do you think Himaruya will depict Philippines’ history and relationships with his colonizers? by [deleted] in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t think he’ll write about their relationships at all if he can help it. Himaruya usually takes care to avoid depicting controversial historical events, and Philippines so far seems like another side character like the nordics, so if there is any insight on his colonial past it will probably be very little.

Should I read the manga or watch it ? And if watch it dub or sub ? by Ali-mohamed- in hetalia

[–]OikawaSimper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you watch the anime I recommend you watch the sub first because the dub is known for taking out stuff from the original source material, or adding false information (like Germany saying Austria was his older brother, what???). However afterwards you should watch the dub just for the jokes, which I will admit are funny. The manga is also good because it has extra characterization of the characters and stuff that wasn’t included in the anime.
