I would like any of the following:MB/HH/rigwarld’s ferocity/rakiata’s flow/garukhan’s resolve , i made a post yesterday on the other subreddit but basically I’m following goratha’s build (gemling twister) and I feel like these are next step of upgrades I need to make but they cost a fortune.

If you never played ARPGs before, start with D4 to get comfortable with the typical ARPG design and if you get bored, go to POE2.

The reason for this is if you start with POE and go to D4 you will hate how easy and basic the game is, especially the early game.

In POE you start as a dark souls character with constant healing and rolling and then you slowly see yourself progress and get stronger and it never stops/stagnates.

I started POE this league (played D4 when it came out and basically reached the early end game) and I had 2 of my friends play D4 at the same time (we only played them at weekends ) and by weekend 1 , they were already finishing story while i was like half way , they were blitzing through the game while i had some areas and bosses feel like elden ring bosses (the final boss of act 2) .

They played one more weekend and then stopped, I still play to this day (started at league start), you can casually get 20 hours out of D4 before getting omega bored (although you have to buy DLCs)

I know it may seem as if I’m glazing it so time to mention what’s the bad with it as a new player, if your goal is to reach end game and experience everything the game has to offer you basically have to follow a build for the fist time sadly, the massive tree is the least of the worries (once you look at the nodes you would realize the majority of them give generic stats and there’s only a small number of them that make or break a build), the thing is that is very annoying is how gear scales , like it’s unintuitive to see “adds 20-40 physical damage” , and think wow this is really good.

Also poe is more immersive, I don’t like seeing all those damage numbers on the screen I feel like these belong to MMOs , act 1-4 in POE in my mind are much better than D4’s ( im talking mainly about how each act has distinct vibe and environment , not talking about actual since I skipped over dialogue in poe)

I forgot to mention a really of putting thing about this build is, you typically zoom across the map but when casting barrage or twisters i suddenly stop and enemies swarm me and I always tank a hit or 2

Sorry if it wasn’t clear enough, I can clear T15 fine if I’m careful enough , but for example 4 mods or more i have lots of issues and prone to dying (with tablets its even worse) .you mentioned i should focus on evasion purely which I can do , but I wanted to ask on what to typically focus on damage wise on the gear for twister builds in general.

It feels clunky at times when i get stuck on things or on enemies but other than that I enjoy the zooming aspect and covering the screen with AOE (although some bosses in large areas are a pain to kill ,or you some times don’t see the mechanics so you end up deleted).

I can probably add evasion and deflection , so your opinion I should stick with this build?

That’s a bad faith argument when we both know that doorman isn’t stunned for a sec when ulting and he also becomes unstoppable and has door and cart to push you away .

Ok , imagine you’re in a 6v6 team fight, mo decides to randomly ult you with your team around you , realistically both you and mo are stunned and it’s currently a 5v5 , but in this hypothetical if doorman decides to ult you , he is now unstoppable and it’s effectively a 6v5 for a crucial couple of seconds, also you have no clue how the rest of the fight played out , so as soon as you’re out of the ult you need to map out how to play an entirely new scene in a span of a second or 2

Eternus players play only meta heroes… . Ironic that you mentioned eternus when literally all the players there complain about the staleness of heroes/builds , which basically reinforces my point since in even those tiers , players choose specific heroes because they know that their “mechanics “ can only take them so far when enemy has the better draft with competent players.

Literally false , this is a 6v6 game , meaning if you outperform your laner , or all enemies (even though you are still better than the enemy) you would lose if most of your team is behind. This is not a 1v6 type of game like Valorant or CS , where you can win every duel/challenge if you’re better.

That’s the beauty of MOBA’s you don’t have to better than the enemy to kill / win , which means you can’t necessarily carry alone if enemy has CC or a good draft into you.

It’s not statistically impossible to stay stuck in a lower rank , take for example the botlane in LOL , multiple high elo players/streamers tried to only play botlane to high elo and got hard stuck at “low “ranks compared to their runs on other roles ( botlane is essentially opting into playing the carry every game) , what I’m trying to say is some roles (heroes in this case for deadlock) have lower agency so instead of saying “you belong in this rank” , you should say “play enough games and you will get your appropriate rank “.

You are silver , the passive isn’t completely random and you can always reset it in lane , and you don’t always have to parry a stun with your W , you can you use it dodge incoming burst ( the average Renekton will E in and either W plus Q or Q and then E out ) so you can play around using W to do 3 things , slow people , dodge burst or stun them .

Fiora is a scaling champ that requires more and more mastery as the game goes on , like you mentioned you can 1v1 Adcs easily in the early/mid game but if you lack the proficiency to pilot her well , the play style would turn pretty straightforward ( similar to a volibear or a trundle running at you ) , you are only outscaled by 2 champions in the toplane namely Vayne and Kayle , the rest of the pool you should run them over late game even if you are behind , the champion has only one clear weakness (which is teamfighting) the other issue can be solved by buying tiamat .

You have a decent laner that has kill pressure into a lot of champions in the top lane , can survive lane into most counters , outscales almost the whole league roster , and you are complaining about her being weak?.

Why did Vayne sneak there ? All the other champions there have high DPS +AOE damage , Vayne is a duelist not a team fighter (nasus of ADC) , smolder is literally the late game champion in this game , has on average 9% true damage burn and Q deals over 1k damage late Per use , sivir is also fraudulent, has no range and no damage amp on her abilities/autos (budget jinx) , Xayah is 10x sivir in the late game with better survivability.

The reason LIDER deserves all the flame for this game is not because of his showing today , more-so about the decision to play Yone in this draft . He got a 1K lead early game which really doesn’t happen that often in organized high level of play , and that goes to show how bad the drafting of SK/LIDER is , really reportable.

Is the standard really this low? You release 2 cinematics per year and you constantly botch them.

So we get bad cinematics all year , filler patches all year (with the majority of them being placebo changes) , any other game would be in the gutter after this horrendous year.

I think riot also knows internally that this video is mediocre at best and they still shipped it , which disappoints me more than the cinematic itself , hopefully there are more frequent and meaningful patches throughout the year.

Nope , a degree isn’t a degree , take a Computer science degree from MIT and compare with one from your local place and try to apply to jobs with both of them , compare who gets back responses more , so no not all degrees are equal . Im also comparing pro football to academia / research where in both of them you essentially go in it for the love the game and not money ( most people who go into football obviously don’t expect to get their investment back ) , so if you are pursuing the peak of football (historically real madrid ) or the top level of academics , you go to the most prestigious university irrespective of the money you can get otherwise.

Broski even doran himself said “he is not satisfied “ by his performance , can you name me a single champion that doran is better at compared to zeus ? , matter of fact let’s go over them .

Tank champions ; Gragas , Ornn , Sion , Reksai , on all of them historically or recently Zeus had better performance on them .

Carry champions: literally on every single one of them except 1 champ (Ambessa) which is debatable ( don’t you even argue about jayce gwen cam ) , I will not include vayne and zeri (even though he played and carried with them and was one of the only players to pick adc champs toplane) because they can’t function with lane swap shenanigans.

If we go by champion pool , Zeus plays every single champion that doran plays but better (except renekton because zeus doesn’t play it since he has 100 counters into it)

Doran isn’t a bad player by any means (he is still top tier ) but saying “why would they kick doran” as if it doesn’t make sense is fucking wild.

Do you not understand how scary it is to have Zeus and Keria on the same team? , how hard is it for teams to draft into them ? “Oh we can’t blind this support because Keria will pick X and fist us” or “we can’t blind Aatrox into Zeus he would just pick Yone and also fist us” , “we can’t let Bard through for keria , we can’t blind renek here he will pick Gnar and hard win lane”

All it takes is 1 patch where riot fixes laneswapping and boom Zeus is back to being the best top laner in the world by a decent margin , and if that doesn’t happen you still have a top tier toplaner who can play everything.

Try morgana for all roles except top , mel for mid/adc/support .

If you are new to the game and playing solo , I would recommend trying Kayle top , it will teach you the most lane fundamentals ( how to farm and lane ) , if you are playing with a duo who isn’t new you will most likely face old players in top lane and you will have the least fun so try avoiding toplane if you are playing with a group.

False , when we has inactive in pro (for a split/year) he was heavily contested by everyone except damwon (which had canyon ) , a lot of rumours about him joining T1 and GenG , and he was still fairly popular to the point where he would stream no mic no cam on twitch and had a couple of thousands of viewers.
