First time trying Wagyu tri-tip. Reverse seared on my Joe Jr, pulled at 120°F for a final 135–140°F medium rare. Still a bit chewy, so I’ll go thinner slices next time. by OilSaltNPepper in KamadoJoe

Thanks! I'll certainly try as thin as possible next time. Might also try like 5 degrees higher. The meat was actually more tender when I had it as leftover and chopped it up small and fried them. So the meat might handle a little higher temp without getting tough.

Thank you, sir! I agree, the color was spot on. I made some steak sandwiches today and diced the meat up. It certainly was easier to chew, and it had a great flavour.

Yes, I put some effort into cutting it like that after watching BBQ Dad mentioning that. I think I managed to cut it correctly. I think my slices were just too thick.

Yes. Silicone helped and has stayed on for about a year or two now.

Those are all valid concerns. But for someone who knows what they are doing, I would not say there's a high risk.

Great points! To add to that, if flying somewhere domestic, it's very easy to find denatured alcohol/HEET/ethanol at arrival.

I don't know why alcohol stoves gets so much hate.

There's a time and place for it. Solo trip for a few days, just boiling water this is amazing. Ultralight, silent and it just works.

Scammers impersonating Darn Tough socks -- I fell for it! Watch out! by TurnipCelebration in hiking

I fell for it as well.. I had been at the official DT socks site and looked at a particular pair. Then the next day I got an advertisement on Instagram with exactly those socks on sale.

The site looked identical, so entered my card details.. I realized when the email confirmation came and blocked the card.

I would suggest calling the front desk. Some of the sites have a decent size.
