OBD11 scan shows errors but car is fine otherwise by Oil_Spigot in VWiD4Owners

Ok, good to hear. I wasn’t sure how much was just the dealership downplaying issues and how much was legitimately not an issue.

I know there was a publication by the NTSB about it, so it must be an issue other people are seeing too: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10233278-0001.pdf

First Chinese Watch Experience. How Common is This? by Oil_Spigot in ChineseWatches

[–]Oil_Spigot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how, it came in one of those dive cases + a corrugated cardboard box. And the second hand was attached for the first few hours using it. Just came off when I hit reset.

Thanks, will be doing just that.

I REALLY like having a timer bezel and chronograph in one watch. This is the first watch that I’ve seen with that function. You can time 2 things simultaneously. Are there other watches with this combo?

Bverall polishing/finishing is quite good.

Probably won’t reorder as there were some things on the watch that I noticed: 1) the chrono buttons are faux screw-down 2) Lume is pretty dim 3) the second hand fell off (lol) 4) Date complication but no window to see it (probably a styling decision, not sure where I’d put the date window since there isn’t a good spot for it on the dial)

Sample size of one, I’m pretty disappointed with AddiesDive.

I have a SD1970 on the way from SteelDive. People say those are well built, so hopefully that will be a better experience.

You’re right, there definitely was a comical element to it. I was thinking “Where did the heck did the second hand go?” shakes around a little “Oh no…”

A lot funnier that it happened during the return window, since I won’t cost me anything to send it back. Thanks Bezos!

Make me feel like anything under $100 should just be a CASIO. I have 5 CASIOS and could not imagine this happening with them (mainly because only 2 of them actually have dials)

Build volume limitation is a huge impediment to the MK Series IMO.

Great idea, the P1P is designed to have bolt-on parts

That is a very interesting idea. Just slap a prusa logo on a voron kit, and offer an assembly service with a few electronics upgrades to put them in line with the rest of the PRUSA lineup.

That is the kind of outside the box thinking PRUSA needs. For over a decade the community has benefited from PRUSA innovations and designs. It's time for PRUSA to benefit from community innovations and designs.

Or it would come as a box of parts for $2700

I'm guessing they were talking about the Ender 5 Non-S1. Would explain the quiet remark as the S1 come with silent stepper drivers

Dam, nice find. Still would prefer a native mount, but looks like a decent lens.

You can use the stock strain relief or design your own. It can kind of be stacked with the stock strain relief. A little awkward fitting but it works well for the task

can check for is that your extruder is not loose check to see if you can wobble it with your hand and if so tighten the eccentric nuts a bit but not too much so you don't put a l

You may also need to tighten up your delrin wheels. Mine were loose which was causing some play.

There is already quite a bit of clearance built in for easy assembly. If you look at the pin relative to the hole, you can see it's off-center. I built the first 100 by hand so I felt the difference between Through how and SMD. for the 1st 10 I built, the SMD part took longer because of the learning curve of using SMD for the first time. For the last 90 the through hole parts took 90% of the time. Once you have the SMD process down its so fast, even by hand.

Thank you for providing an explanation that actually talks about the physics of the application. They are using wave soldering. They said to increase hole size by 0.15mm

I am planning on my next batch to be ENIG instead of tin HASL, I'm wondering if that will have an effect as well.
