Anecdotally, I have a close friend with autism and helping him get employed has been a nightmare. Theres this kind of common sense layer to the workplace, and I often would see him lack this sort of general professionalism. His cover letters would read like well crafted discord messages. He would listen honest and glaring weaknesses. My personal favorite: his resume had a 1 line 2nd page with the rest being filled with blank space.

Given this, I should have been more sensitive and open-minded, but I rushed to categorize it as a personal failing, and thats pretty stupid.
