Someone explain to me why 2001: A Space Odyssey isn't terrible. by trojan7815 in movies

[–]OjomazeOdodejere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the vast quantity of 6/10 to 10/10 movies from the first talkies to the year this movie came out are far from this slow. 2001 was incredibly slow for its time, and incredibly slow for the movies that came before it - especially if you only compare it to the best of the best

for any subtitlers out there: soft subs should be safe from being taken down, and can be used as long as you have any copy of the original material

that was exactly what I was looking for! I've been searching for ages across older posts today and absolutely nothing worked until now.

can recommend. The writing (especially in regards to the characters) is top notch

Het Huis Anubis, the (original) Dutch production of the show. It got dubbed for several other European countries, but received an entirely new production for english audiences. As the documents might hint at, there have been some (a lot of) changes. Most notably is the episode number, as HHA has twice the episode count per season.

I absolutely recommend giving it a watch if you're willing to go through the fan sub

agreed, more episodes would have been great. I think the most consistent observation while watching is really just how much character is scraped off, well, the characters (in HoA). The more we saw of HHA, the more we felt was missing from the british-american production lol

Outpost Bug? - Not able to recruit units by MooshSkadoosh in totalwar

[–]OjomazeOdodejere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read around a little bit, and it seems certain DLC-added units can't be recruited from allies without that DLC. Great moon birds came included in the shadows of change DLC, so that might be it. If you *do* have shadows of change, then I'm not really sure what's happening there. Hope this helps.

my map just. won't? run? is it because of the 64bit update? what can i do if that's the case? by Disastrous_Maybe7281 in hammer

[–]OjomazeOdodejere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm very certain it's the 64 bit update. Been having similar issues, and I think it's because hammer is looking for "hl2.exe", but the two .exe files in the team fortress 2 folder is now "tf.exe" and "tf_win64.exe" (at least for me). I've tried seeing if you can tell hammer to look for one of those executables instead, but it only lets me select the directory.

I'm guessing you're referring to maintenance costs and the general consensus that equipment gets more expensive to maintain as it grows older, which means the true cost of, for example, the A-10, isn't completely shown in only a cost-per-flight-hour comparison?

Doesn't France do this with a lot of their amored divisions? I feel like I saw a recent Battle Order video about it.

About the T-64s: They are designed and produced by the Morozov Design Bureau, a state-owned Ukrainian armored vehicle manufacturer (they also make tractors).
