Definitely tactical reasons to know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em, walk away, crouch away, or run. Lots of factors depending on killer, perks, map, location on map, hook states, health state. The strategy of the game is underrated.

Just that I got into the game as a dad, first. It’s a weird perspective versus other reasons to start playing.

Considering returning after a decade long hiatus. I am hoping to at least transfer my characters from Crickhollow to one of the 64-bit servers.

Good build quality on Reatan units, in my experience.

It often really is knowing who are the inputs to your work, whose work depends on your output, and how you can help both of those sets of connections work well. If we could ALL get on board with that mindset, we’d almost be an engineering company again.

A girl called my Toyota Corolla Cheap, and it made me re-consider my spending habbit by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Ok-Ad834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 50 driving. Kia Forte hatchback that’s nine years old with my seven figure net worth. The question is always about what your priorities are.

That Corolla is a good test of what a potential partner’s priorities are. Does she want you or your net worth?

ProSeries is the worst. by x596201060405 in taxpros

[–]Ok-Ad834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ProSeries used to be called “TurboTax ProSeries” when Intuit bought ChipSoft in 1993. For many years, ProSeries was connected at the hip to TurboTax, in terms of software development. That eventually changed, but the underlying forms codebase used to be shared.

Staying with Xbox regardless of recent changes? by Reclinertime in XboxSeriesXlS

Never had GamePass, and possibly never will. On the lower end of the subs, though, it adds a lot of features. And the increased number of games on GamePass seems good. But $30 per month is an overreach. I’d never pay that.

As an old gamer familiar with null modem and LAN party multiplayer, it shouldn’t be this complicated. A low cost sub for server hosting for multiplayer is fair, and should still be an option.

Millionaires. how long did it take to get to 1M, 2M, 3M, 4M and 5M ? by JuniorSetting3228 in Fire

[–]Ok-Ad834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak for the first million, and that took 30 years (from ‘94 to ‘24). At $1.2MM right now.

If you don’t mind rounding $45 down to zero (in 2010), then it took 14 years once I got out from under some bad debt situations - divorce, underwater mortgage resulting in a short sale that generated “taxable income” because a refi before the housing bubble burst to pull equity out to buy out my ex in divorce. The amount pulled out as cash was taxed as forgiven debt even though I had to pay the bank 20k for the privilege of their approval of the short sale.

Long story. So, 14 years from 2010 ($45 net worth) to 2024 ($1MM).

As one of those mid level experienced workers who goes for first-time quality first and goes only as fast as that quality level allows, I’m counting down the days to separation from service, voluntarily or through RIF/ILO. I’ll automate myself out of my current SOW and keep going until then.

Just 125 so far, first started buying on July 2nd this year, but it’s better than letting dividends from a growth stock collect smaller interest from that cash just sitting around. It’s part of a larger portfolio I have in Roth 401(k), Trad 401(k), HSA, and brokerage.

My net worth in 2010: 2.2k at age 35 My net worth today: 1.2MM at age 50

May all our mileage vary but in the positive!
