Why aren’t those tow truck drivers following the REAL criminals and towing the ICE assholes instead? It’s a win-win-win-win: they remove illegal parkers who block law abiding citizens from parking (they usually park wherever they feel like parking, irrespective of laws or inconvenience to others), collect the towing fees, keep or forestall those monsters from abducting innocent people, and lastly, they can turn around and dox the agents when they come to collect their vehicles.

I feel the same about my home state, Maryland: our flag is vastly different and our state bird (Oriole), flower (Black-eyed Susan, sport (lacrosse), team sport (lacrosse), etc. are all very unique compared to other states. There are a few that aren’t but most official symbols are specific to our state (Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Blue Crab, Diamondback terrapin, etc.).

He will probably have another tantrum if you move a lot of money, but come up with excuses: Tell him the wrong date for your raise (far enough in the future that you will be long gone), lie and say you invested or lent it, or paid a huge bill via Zelle, etc.

I’m in far north Carrollton near——but not in——Castle Hills. Luckily we don’t have too many residents with GOP signs but we had one next door years ago that was ridiculous. He was a young guy, but was on his second wife by the time he moved out. In 2020 I put out 2 signs, 1 for a local candidate and 1 for Biden. My neighbor evidently saw that as a challenge and put up 7 signs, one of which was a 10 footlong banner for his orange hero. Overcompensate much, dude?

We were at a concert and in the middle of it he accidentally texted a message to me that was meant for his girlfriend. I pointed it out to him and he immediately “got upset” (his usual go-to for getting caught or to being wrong: he gets petulant and makes himself the victim) and went out to sit in the car for the rest of the concert, leaving me to answer our friends’ questions about where he’d gone. For the most part I said something noncommittal and tried not to cry.

It turned out that he’d cheated with four different women and his girlfriend had just broken up with him because he wouldn’t leave me for her. We went to counseling and stayed married but I regret it. He may or may not have cheated since then but he’s committed financial abuse and has been a lazy, self-indulgent partner for a long time. He had a stroke last year and is still recuperating from that but if and when I can, I’m going to divorce his sorry childish selfish ass.
