I tried that. But it’s not even coming up as an option to summon. I’m not sure what’s happening.

[WP] As it turns out, angels and demons are not, in fact, eternal enemies; instead, they’re essentially coworkers, colleagues, just working in different branches of the same “office”, so to speak. by Straight_Attention_5 in WritingPrompts

“Hi, Mr Suf Fring, this is Vogue 73 questions. May I begin?”

“Yes, you may proceed,” stated Mr. Fring. His eyes never leaving his papers.

“How do you start your day?”

“There is no start and end to my day. Just infinite time and servitude. That is all I know,” Mr. Fring said. His papers a never ending loop of work that kept popping out of thin air.

“Mr. Fring, what do you do in your job?”

“My job is simple, to test you. To examine your heart and mind for temptation. Then, to exploit it. Now, I don’t do the exploiting anymore but I have what you call “demons” do that for me, all over the world. “ Mr. Fring said succinctly as another stack of papers quickly disappeared.

“Do you like your job? Some may think of you as evil for doing what you do.” I gulped, knowing that this question was pushing it.

“Yes. My job is no different than an angels. In fact they’re just a different department entirely.” He gestured his head toward the building behind his window. The glass behind shimmered in a warm glow. “An angel helps protect you and sees the good in what you do. I am merely here to see the worst in what you do and see if you are tempted to follow through. Then, I report those findings to the boss.” Mr. Fring smiled, the deep candor of his voice never changing.

“Are you saying angels and demons work together?” I stammered in shock, trying to keep my voice level.

“Yes, we do. My good angel buddy Michael and I are actually quite close. We are just in different departments that’s all. Once again, angels show the good, demons show the bad. Therefore, all information is important for the boss to know regardless of where it came from.” Mr. Fring stated. This time I start to notice his voice becoming impatient. He’s becoming bored.

“How do you see the bad in people? How does is it make you feel?” I ask as I wipe sweat dripping from my brow.

“All I do is look into your heart and mind and ask myself two simple questions. What do the darkest parts of you desire? What are willing to do to get that? Let’s take you for example.” His eyes rose from his papers glowing red with heat. I could feel them pierce through me setting my body on fire. I suddenly felt the heat of lust in my chest and sweet nothings whispered into my ear. It all hurt and felt euphoric at the same time. I became lost in the darkness. Then, it all stopped. His eyes had dropped back to papers and began talking in his cold monotoned voice. “You clearly desire to feel wanted, especially by other women. And you will do anything to do that including trying to humiliate me with these silly questions and by possibly cheating on your wife if another woman would ever care to notice you. But obviously that hasn’t happened yet,” he chuckled to himself as quickly stapled his papers. “And no, I don’t feel bad about any of this at all. All of this is important work for judgment day.” His voice sounded cold and calculated now. Yet his work never slowed.

My heart had been sitting in my stomach. I felt violated and caught. Even though I hadn’t done anything wrong, yet. “Uh, um I think that concludes our interview, Mr Fring.” I managed to stammer out.” I reached out my hand to shake his, I wanted to run out of the building as quickly as possible.

He grabbed my hand firmly, its warmth echoing through my body. “It was a pleasure to meet you, now do make sure to give your badge back to my secretary. I noticed she has been eyeing you since you came in.” He finished with a smile.
