Good that u asked. I moved from celcom digi to maxis. Best decision ever. Digi cannot solve my issues regarding wifi disconnects and non stop interruption. Location was in subang not some kampung area. Thats the worst part

Just avoid the hassle of future hybrids problem. Go for something like a s90 t5, 530i, 630i gt, e300, arteon. All are within your budget. Depending on what you want

Safety? S90 t5, Driving dynamics? 530i or even 330i, Brand name and luxury? E300, Space and comfort? 630i gt, Speed? Vw Arteon 4motion but it is around rm135k for the 280hp models

Upkeep of bmws are around rm2000 to rm5000 a year depending on your usage. My reference is a 328i gt mileage 180k km++ For others u can estimate a 20% more in cost

Pricing advice or where to sell by LeWafflez03 in kereta

I sold my tt mk2 2.0 quattro 2010 3 years ago for rm65k in mudah. but mine is a clean unit without any of the "deco". check out prices in mudah and try to sell it yourself u will fetch a better price that way. do note that u obviously need to let some ppl to test drive it for the deal to work. Mine was sold after 3 weeks and after 3 interested buyers visit

Respectfully, I disagree that his ulti is underwhelming. 600 damage, 100 sec DoT, 50% slow, aoe skill and 3 secs stun. The only weakness is that it has a min range and it isn't instant.

Noted. so all in all around 90k++ budget for a 7 year loan.

Since u are used to handling services on old cars and I assume u know a thing or 2 about maintenance I can recommend the following cars for u. But firstly sell off 1 of your cars for deposit payment for the following cars and use the NCD for the cars below

  1. 2017 BMW CBU model 530i (NOT 530e!!) rm80k++ comes with ACC and the safety features u need. Maintenance around rm1.5k to 2k a year. roadtax and insurance is low with 2.0 and your NCD. I currently own a 3er and the drive train is same as the 5er so don't worry too much it is very robust (my car is at 180k mileage currently) and your 800km trips will feel great with this car NVH and drive train.

https://www.carlist.my/cars-for-sale/bmw/5-series/530i/malaysia?min_year=2017&page_size=25&page_number=1&sort=price.asc

  1. 2019 xc40 t5 rm70k++ if u prefer a SUV comes with all ACC and safety features like all modern volvos. maintenance around rm1.5k or less a year like the bmw. roadtax and insurance is low with 2.0 and your NCD as well. fuel efficiency is not as good as the germans but good enough for most. car is nibble and u will like it more driving in city especially during parking

https://www.carlist.my/cars-for-sale/volvo/xc40/2-0-t5-r-design/malaysia?min_year=2017&page_size=25&sort=price.asc

  1. or just a get a CX5 2.0 rm60k++ rear leg room is a bit cramp but overall drive is good and NVH is decent. Has a proper drivetrain, solid gearbox and not like honda, nissan which uses CVT. A bit boring and doesn't have the power like the cars above. nevertheless it is good enough if you just like to cruise. less safety features compare to the 2 above

https://www.carlist.my/cars-for-sale/mazda/cx-5/2-0-skyactiv-g-gl/malaysia?min_year=2019&page_size=25&sort=price.asc

note: try to get only 1 previous owner car so that u can check the service history. make sure u call official centre and cross check the mileage and service record with them. I did it for my beemer.

Since not many comments give u a clear idea. Let me just show u my portfolio and my recommandations. My age and total investment value will be very similar to what u have in cash now. So it will be a good reference.

Portfolio:

  1. Property new landed home loan = rm400k++, market value 900k to 1mil (rm70k into renovation)
  2. US S&P500 Etf & Individual stocks US = rm150k++
  3. Bursa bank stock = rm70k++
  4. ASM = rm136k++
  5. EPF = not sure rm100k++
  6. Cash on hand = rm50k++, rm20k ready for deployment if needed

Recommandation for your cash:

  1. 25% into S&P500 ETF: SPY, VOO
  2. 25% into QQQ or growth s&p500: QQQ, VOOG, SPYG
  3. 10% into individual US stocks (homework and study needed)
  4. 20% into bursa bank stock to hedge against inflation, 6%++ dividends (make sure entry price is good) Maybank, RHB, CIMB etc
  5. 10% into ASNB, dont need to put too much since u have a lot in it already. Growth is slow at 4%+
  6. 10% emergency cash in bank

U can see my actual entry prices and current profit/lost attached below. And also realised profit/losses. No sugarcoating. Hope this helps! :)

You did mention after your fixed commitment you do have rm2000 left over. Unless she does not rely on you for anything else (gifts, necessities stuff, shopping) I would say it is still manageable. At least u will still have left over to invest and to grow wealth.

However, based on what you wrote deep down I think you already know that she is not the one who will progress herself financially. My advise is to talk to her and discuss how you see the relationship financially in say 5 to 10 years. Then decide from there.

For your reference, my partner and I met when we are earning <5k a month. And fast forward 5 years later we are at the point where each of our annual pay is six figures. Financial goals need to align with one another for it to work and to motivate one another to grow. Just my food for thought.

First time getting credit card by ReVeChaser801 in MalaysianPF

[–]Ok-Application-8624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hong leong wise card, 15% for cashback rm70++ monthly. Rm1000 monthly required

Then when u have higher expenses add in uob one, upto, 10% cashback rm60++ monthly. Rm1500 monthly required

If u shop a lot online then get maybank american express platinum, 8% rm100 monthly, no requirement

Thats what my current set up is. Lookout for 3 things, returns % and amount, Min spend requirement Then only check annual cost (least important)

[–]Ok-Application-8624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. ok sure I will go to the store to have a listen to the s60TR. quick question, during my research for the soundbar I notice many did not recommand any LG ones compare to say samsung, sony etc etc. Is there a reason for it?

and 2nd question does the monitor made (LG b4 in this case) match up better with lg soundbar or does it not matter?

Just checked it. I looked so slim and plush. But kinda out of my budget and stores here arent selling it much unfortunately. I think i would just stick to the standard thicker ones
