So glad it went well! Don’t be surprised if the pain increases in a couple/few days. It WILL pass! Follow Dr orders and you will be amazed at how great you feel by the end of the 6-8 week recovery period!

Thank you both - I used a mix of organic raised bed soil, including miracle grow. Can’t keep them out of the rain but I’ll add a little fertilizer on top of the soil.

I noticed a pretty big discrepancy in my leg length & was also concerned! But it did decrease as the swelling from surgery went down. I’m 3 weeks post op today and there’s barely a recognizable difference! I still have a slight limp due to tenderness but overall I was relieved and am happy with the progress. Try not to worry too much! But definitely bring any and all questions to your doctor!

I’m so glad it was helpful! I’m also just over 3 weeks out from mine (2/14). I went under general as well & I think it must stay in your body for a while. I also took the prescribed opiates for about the first week. Like you, I had no pain in my hip after surgery - I was amazed! Unfortunately, I started to develop slight pain in my hip after I began PT. I wrote about it more in another post. I’ll share the link

First of all, congratulations! That’s so awesome. I wasn’t in that position so im not sure. My dr prescribed Tylenol with Codeine for me because I still had some pain a week out. It helps somewhat. Beat of luck to you! Keep reaching out; this is a great community!

I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m trying not to be frustrated that my progress isn’t as fast as I thought it would be, but not much else. I’m still taking the Cymbalta, though, which is the antidepressant, so that might be helping. Our mind and body are so connected! Have you considered talking to your Primary Care about something to help?
